No what you expect from a Hilton group hotel
Pros:

Handy to get to straight off the A1.
Some of the staff were very helpful.
Nice to have and onsite gym for guests.
The second room I had was very nice.
Breakfast has a good spread

Cons:

The first room i was placed in, the corridor smelt of cigarettes. It was next to a plant room and so I had the a tapping noise all night. The shower door had been broken off so they had simply replaced it with a curtain. This meant that the curtain stuck to you whilst showering as it was so small making for a very unpleasant experience. The hotel doesn't appear to have AC even though it is advertised as having. There are instead, fans in the room to blow the hot air around.

You had to pay extra to pay for parking at the hotel even if you were a guest at the hotel.

It was just right for what we needed
Pros:

I would particularly like to say a big thank you to Charlie in the bar who was just wonderful. He made all the difference to our stay.

Our room was right above what seemed to be a generator - it was quite noisy

Comfortable, quiet room.
Pros:

Location was perfect for where our function was being held.
Even though it is right next to A1(M) we didn’t hear it as our room was at the back

Cons:

The only downside to our stay was that our room was not serviced on the Saturday. Access to room was not till afternoon as we were getting ready but when we came back early evening it hadn’t been done. On Sunday we were in room all morning again getting ready so room couldn’t be serviced then. When we left for function I had to say to reception that room needed done.

Good Location and hotel , bed uncomfortable

Ok hotel, stayed a few times now but will look for alternatives
Pros:

Rooms are very clean
Aircon was very good
Breakfast was fresh and good value
Breakfast staff were top

Cons:

Room location (mezzanine) wasn’t great and the aircon units for what seemed like the whole hotel were outside my window

Hotel should notify about paid parking (only £5) before booking not afterwards via message

Reception staff were not great
