Third time here, very nice hotel and definitely worth a punt. No restaurant still but brewers fayre 5 minutes away and happy if you order out so no drama. Definitely the hotel of choice for us when we come up.
Reception staff friendly on arrival and communication due to delayed arrival good.
For £130 the room (234) was not up to expectation for that price. Carpet was threadbare in several places. Room was cold and the heater unworkable to change the temperature, therefore had to wear t-shirt in bed as rather thin duvet. Shower water was only just warm enough to get showered. On leaving there was no one on reception and despite ringing the bell several times nobody apperared. One staff member (probably a cleaner) walked past and said morning but totally ignored us when obviously we were looking to check out. I would not recommend this hotel unless you are paying half of what I paid. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!
We were in Grantham for an event, so we were only staying at the hotel for one night. It was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. I feel like the hotel was one that would have been amazing in its heyday, but is now only functioning as a place to sleep. The bar was open the night that we were there, but I think that was because there were a lot of competitors staying at the hotel. I would definitely stay there again for an ovenight stay but would worry that there is very little to do at the hotel if your stay is any longer. It was certainly priced very well also.

I liked that the room was warm on arrival and the beds were comfortable. The shower area and toilet where very clean.
The shower tray was very slippy and there was not enough plug sockets to charge or phones and tablets

Had family room but only set for 2 people , 2 mugs towels etc. Room wasn't very clean, bed needed replacing sank in the middle. Room look tired mattress stained.

Brilliant sized room, very clean and fresh, attentive and helpful staff, adequate parking and pleasant green setting.
