In need of sprucing up and improvement in cooking but pleasant and efficient staff
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. Good service.

Cons:

(1) The cooking was not the standard it should be for Holiday Inn (which I know quite well). Too ambitious for the quality of the chef at dinner. Oversalted main course in one case, dried out flatbreads in another; ground pepper on vegetables excessive; steak pie was fatty; mashed potatoes tasted like something from a packet. But to be fair, cooked breakfast next morning was good. (2) Bed is getting old and slightly ridged.

Loved it. Minor negatives didn't outweigh my 9/10 rating
Pros:

Great breakfast and lovely ambience. Bedroom was spacious and modern.

Cons:

Air conditioner in the room leaked water when fully on in the heatwave. TV didn't work at first but then after speaking to reception it did. Wi-Fi was weak in my room.

Was clean every day really large room there was a fridge and safe iron and ironing board the water was nice and hot restaurant was nice and monden the staff was always happy and friendly

Room nice...clean...food excellent...location good.

Cons:

Room down a flight of stairs and no lift....will request a ground floor room next time. Excessive charge of £20 extra for one small dog...not warranted.

Pros:

The only negative was the hard mattresses. Other than that i cannot fault the stay at all. The location is perfect. The staff go above and beyond. We had the dog with us on one of the hottest days of the year, the air-conditioning in the room was a lifesaver.
