Lovely room, outstanding view from balcony
Pros:

Friendly staff, clean room,

Cons:

Some parts of the pool area needed deep clean/fresh paint.
Room balcony floor tiles cleaned as there was moss growing.
Both easy to fix!

Pros:

Hotel was clean. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Well located for Yorks attractions and racecourse. Loved the 50" TV when relaxing in room.

Cons:

Restaurant prices were extortionate and the confectionery on display near the reception was vastly overpriced. Example 2x four fingered kit Kat's were £7. We obviously didn't buy them. Breakfast was very expensive. They have to make themselves a little more competitive.

Good size room and clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Staff weren't very helpful. I had pre booked breakfast room service and made a full payment including the room service fee..however, when I scanned the code in the room to book a time I came across a section that said to hang a service hanger on the door before 12am. I wasn't provided with one and when I called reception they said this was incorrect and they do not provide them. I was told I could order in the morning through the QR code, this did not work even though it said breakfast available after 7am. I therefore ended up with no breakfast due to being unable to book it or reach reception on the phone.

Great short break
Pros:

Loved the pool and steam room.
Views from the bar and garden were excellent, staff cheery and helpful.
Breakfast fabulous.
A little out of town but plenty of transport available

Cons:

Consumables in spa showers need topping up.

Would certainly stay again
Pros:

Very helpful staff, amazing breakfast and really comfy bed. Near to all the places we wanted to visit and the local York Station Taxis were excellent and I would recommend using them. Nice bar meals in the evening too
Second time we have stayed here

Cons:

Long walk to our room, which with elderly parents and luggage wasn't easy, though we could have asked for help.
Why have an Uber booking screen in reception and not offer the work to the local taxis, or at least have the option for guests to choose.

Comfortable, relaxing good facilities with very friendly staff. But art work strange !!!
Pros:

Great choice apart from no vegetarian sausage on buffet, however kind staff arranged that for me.

Cons:

As above, vegetarian options could have been on the buffet, however I did ask and the chef cooked them for me, which was very kind of him and the young man that organised that for me. Thank you.

great location, staff were so helpful! onsite leisure centre is fab and is included for guests

Cons:

parking available but not included, cobwebs in corners off the rooms, plug sockets aren’t all normal shaped so limited options to plug in your phone
