Room smelly, no fridge, had to ask for one, what hotel doesn't have a fridge in, the iron didn't work, finally, its the first time ive said no to an English breakfast, The hash brown flew across the room when cutting into it, the bacon, was very fatty and poor quality, a little pants to be honest
Location, views, clean, friendly and fantastic breakfast.
The breakfast was excellent. The staff were so helpful and lovely.
The swimming pool was chilly.
Everything
No negativity
The room itself was a lovely size, and we appreciated being upgraded to a family room. Although we did not require housekeeping during our stay, the housekeeping staff greeted us each morning and were more than happy to assist if we needed anything. I would also like to give special recognition to the Breakfast Manager/Supervisor who was working during our stay; she always greeted us warmly and took the time to chat with us each morning, which was genuinely appreciated. Overall the staff at the hotel made our stay an enjoyable one.
Several issues detracted from what could have been a much better stay, largely due to poor attention to detail. At breakfast, hot items were frequently left empty and only replenished after repeated requests, even during busy periods. The television in our room did not work properly, and although reception were already aware the issue affected multiple rooms, the response was vague and unhelpful, with no resolution during our stay. Drink availability was also disappointing, with options offered and then withdrawn because supplies had been either prioritised for a wedding at the hotel or not replenished (lack of stock). Charging £7 per day for parking while staying at the hotel felt unnecessary and poor value.
