The spa facility
Had no wine glasses and no guiness
Location was excellent
Nothing
Modern looking hotel very clean efficient and friendly staff, bar area is very nice food was to a high standard, parking fee is very reasonable for 24hrs parking, did not use all the facilities so can’t comment on thinks like health spar swimming pool or gym and sauna. We attended for a murder mystery night
Did find anything
The hotel is dated and tired. We paid for a deluxe room and were very disappointed in the room we were given. Whilst the bedroom area was fine, the bathroom was exceptionally small. We spoke to reception and our room was changed.
Breakfast was excellent
Some parts of the hotel were tired
Noise bed and pillows uncomfortable, rooms outdated.
Close to city
Top far my room was i had get it changed. Due to elderly parents stayed in
The back garden view of the race course.
Big windows meant there was plenty of natural lighting in the hotel room.
The thermostat is set to 25.5 degrees in every room and staff couldn’t do anything to change it. The room I was in was above the spa facilities so with the heating of the jacuzzi beneath, the thermostat, and the fact that you couldn’t open the windows very far, made for an uncomfortable stay.
Smashing break brilliant hotel and facilities. Staff are really helpful and friendly
All was good no complaints
The hotel has friendly staff. It has a great view of the racecourse, a lovely back garden and lovely breakfast. Chef Chris is amazingly great. He looked after my son during each breakfast because my son haps multiple food allergies. We are especially grateful to him.
It was a really warm week when we went and on the first night we were sweating because the room is so warm. We struggled to sleep even with windows open so the next day we've asked for a fan and gladly the following nights were cooler.
The double bed family room was great. Nice of the staff to offer an upgrade as the room on the south side were extremely hot on the day we were visiting.
It's a very hot hotel on a hot day, and even with two fans, it felt insufficient. Food was good (a little overpriced in my opinion), but overall it was a good experience. Also, I found the hotel a little far from the city center but there are buses you can take.
Location and cleanliness
Shower being over bath and really stiff toilet flush button!
Beds are very comfortable, good shower facilities, water fountain near gym ideal
Pool area is small and not enough space with local gym users to swim.
Steam room poor not hot enough/little steam setting may need adjusting
Amazing hotel. 10 minutes by car to city centre. Quietl around, friendly staff. Comfort beds. Beautiful garden
Smashing doors in the morning.
We did not have breakfast £28 ×3 is not a good price for breakfast
We were a party of 14 to16 and being to sit around in the bar was useful
