Check in. Breakfast, quiet room
Inside the bathroom a rubber bath mat would have been safer.
The hotel was lovely & only a ten minute drive into the centre of Waltham Abbey. Check in easy, staff were professional & friendly.
The room was very clean, bed, bedding & pillows crisp & very comfy.
The breakfast area was spacious, with a large selection of food/drinks choices etc; again the staff were exceptional & attentive to all our needs.
Ample parking & free!
Couldn't really fault anything.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was ample parking. We asked for a slightly later check out and they were happy to help.
Would definitely come back here again
The lighting in the room could have been better
The breakfast was of good quality and served hot where applicable
Insufficient in-room refreshments
Friendly staff
None
Nice rooms and food
Non
Clean great staff .
Can’t fault it in anyway
Staff not very helpful no aircon
Not the best
Room size, staff were friendly and helpful.
Aircon wasn't working in the room. Staff kindly offered to move me to another room, but I was already settled in and only there for one night, so did not pursue. If you're checking in on a hot day, check the Aircon is working in the room before settling down/unpacking.
Good food available and good facilities
The air con for the hotel units was not working. I had a room change but it was only marginally better
The room and the staff were really good nice breakfast and dinner
We parked our car in the hotel car park and registered this at the front desk, we then received a parking violation and had to chase the hotel to get this removed
We left the hotel after staff incorrectly assumed that I was intoxicated. I have diagnosed ADHD and Tourette’s syndrome, which can cause tics and behaviours that may be misunderstood by those unfamiliar with these conditions.
My partner and I caused no disturbance whatsoever. We sat quietly on our own, interacted with no other guests, and did not create any issues during our stay. Despite this, I felt unfairly judged and discriminated against by members of staff. I have never experienced treatment like this before.
As a result of how uncomfortable and unwelcome we were made to feel, we decided to leave and requested a refund. We were instructed to return the following day regarding this matter. However, upon doing so, we discovered that staff had already checked us out of the hotel at approximately 5:30 a.m. without our knowledge or consent. Consequently, our room was no longer available to us.
What makes this situation even more concerning is that I was still charged for the full two-night stay despite being checked out early by the hotel. Furthermore, it appears that the room was not serviced or prepared for our continued use, despite the charges remaining in place.
I believe the assumptions made about my disability-related symptoms were inappropriate and led directly to unfair treatment. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of understanding, professionalism, and consideration shown throughout this experience.
