We come here all the time…Maggie and Josephine are the kindest friendliest ladies myself and my 90 year old Mom have ever met…they always make us feel so welcome and at home…we also love the food…it’s so tasty….we havnt a bad word to say about the hotel and the staff…Anne
A great stay was bad by a large family group. We stayed 3 night and made use of the restaurant, bar and pool. The food was all very good as well as the service. They go above and beyond to make your stay welcoming and comfortable. The rooms are nice and can't be faulted to my standards anyway. The river is a nice place to take a walk and the village of Castleconnel is a short walk away with small shops and some nice pubs, especially Bradshaw's.
Banishing the January blues, celebrating a birthday and brandishing the budget wand is a tough juggling act but the Castle Oaks House Hotel seemed an ideal way to achieve all three soirees. We thought it an apt way to harness our hopes of blowing the lethargy of a long winter out of the water. And so it was. A beautiful snapshot in time staccatoed in the midst of our memories. This was our maiden voyage in this establishment.
Stephanie, the receptionist greeted us warmly on arrival immediately put us at ease. She informed us of all the excellent facilities available in the hotel ensuring we would have a very pleasurable stay at the cradle of the Shannon.
In the depths of winter with a baltic air sweeping down from the North, it felt like we had stumbled upon a type of wonderful Narnia which none of us wanted to leave. From check in to check out we were furnished with the most delightful sustenance that weary voyagers can only dream about.
Special mention must go to Stephanie, Maggie and Josephine. They just couldn't do enough for us. This troika of employees who through their Trojan work have woven a formidable axis of attentiveness and congeniality throughout the hotel. Our only complaint was that the journey had to end. We had drank deep from the warm gushy vibes of an enchanting weekend. Now it was time to close the wardrobe, shut the door and journey back to the bosom of Offaly. The Castle Oaks and our next adventure awaits.......
Beautiful hotel withe very friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious and top notch service.
Beautiful location! Stephanie was amazing. Had a Nice big smile upon check in 😊
Lovely food and great service from the twins. Very welcoming and attentive. We were treated twice as well! Will definitely visit again.
Great stay in an atmospheric building, in a picturesque location on the banks of the Shannon. Lovely room, great breakfast and attentive and friendly staff. Special shout out to the Nenagh twins, Josephine and Maggie. They go out of their way to welcome you and their friendly and helpful nature added to the whole experience.

Really lovely country house. Spoilt me for my birthday. Would highly recommend.
We arrived at Castle
oaks today. We dined and had drinks in the bar - Josephine has been lovely and very attentive - made
We always had a full glass. Gave us recommendations of walks etc in the local area. Food was great too
Thank you Claire and Adam
Myself and my Fiancé stayed here to celebrate our engagement and we had the best weekend. They made such a fuss of us by upgrading us to a suite and doing up a plate of desserts in our room. The dinner was excellent, Josephine was an absolute dote always checking on us to make sure everything was ok. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back in the future ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just spent a lovely weekend at the Castle Oaks House Hotel. The staff and service were absolutely AMAZING. Josephine and Maggie were a delight and made my experience so enjoyable. The Castle Oaks House Hotel is the quintessential Irish hospitality experience. Thank you so much for the lovely stay. I will be returning again.
Such a lovely hotel set in a beautiful surrounding. The room was lovely, well stocked, spacious, modern and clean, as was the bathroom.
The leisure center was a bonus and again, spotlessly clean.
The staff could not have been nicer, especially Josephine who served us food in the bar and Maggie who served us breakfast. A big thank you also to the head chef who was kind enough to make some toasted sandwiches for us.
My friend felt the room was a bit to hot but as soon as we mentioned this to Maggie she immediately reported it to the relevant people and returned to let us know she had done so.
We would definetly recommend a stay there and we would happily stay there again.
Lovely hotel, great location with amazing staff(especially Joseohine
Had lunch in the bar today sunday the 11th . Food was beautiful great flavour piping hot and well presented.
Our waitress Josephine was unbelievable when you here people talk about irish hospitality and friendliness then this lady wrote the book she was absolutely amazing any hotel would be blessed to have Josephine well done and thank you for your service.

we had a lovely new years stay, staff very helpful and friendly, Josephine in bar made us feel at home, Dinner in bar delicious and good value. Pool great and again staff helpful, Our lodge was roomy and had everything we needed. looking forward to a return visit.
We stayed in one of the lodges for my sister's wedding, which was in the hotel. We really enjoyed the experience. Beds were comfy and the lodge was spacious. All of the staff were excellent. A special mention to Josephine and Maggie who looked after our extended family so well. The food was lovely - at breakfast, in the evening in the bar and at the wedding itself. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but maybe on our next visit!
Best little place in Limerick. Our girl on reception (Stephanie) was just amazing, so helpful and beautiful. She went above and beyond her call of duty to make us comfortable. Cannot fault her.. and as for out Brilliant waiter JAMES!!! So so thoughtful young lad… I had particular dietary requirements and he don’t make me feel at all that I was any trouble.. can’t wait to come again .. will request both mentioned on my next stay. Also…. At breakfast the woman whose name I can’t remember, was amazing also… above and beyond … dark hair woman!! I had a great time!!!
We attended a wedding on 28th in the hotel and stayed over in one of the lodges.
Staff very friendly. One of the managers there Patricia Bolton was excellent. Very friendly and super efficient with great eye to detail.
Food was very good. Lodges could do with upgrading/revamping.
Overall very enjoyable experience
Josephine and James, should launch their own tv show. Needs to be picked up by goggle box rte however, that said.... fantastic staff, great craic, diligient, and nothing is a hassle. 100% recommend staying here for the ambience and coziness of it all! Will be back!
We stayed as a party of 10. We brought our pet dog and stayed in 2 of the lodges and had 2 hotel rooms. We were warmly greeted by all the staff at reception and even had complimentary goodies in our rooms.
We loved the christmas atmosphere and cosyness of the hotel. All staff were absoloutley outstandingly helpful and polite.
We loved our waitress Josephine im the bar. She was so warm amd friendly. She was so attentive to our large party of 10 and kept us all feeling so well looked after.
We will be back!
