It was very quiete around the place. The staff were friendly and Lunch was lovely. The room was great.
Stayed in one of the garden lodges. It was ideal for friends catching up. Very clean and user friendly. Value was great for our needs. Service was excellent and Maggie went above and beyond to accommodate us at meal times. She was super friendly and welcoming.
Its an excellent experience, nice apartment, nice supportive staff.
Nice hotel though it was a bit dated decor wise.We went on a deal with dinner and breakfast included.Dinner a bit disappointing with only two choices and one course included.Weve got the same deal in other hotels with 4 course meal for the same price.Breakfast was good nice friendly staff.Overall nice stay .
My partner and I stopped in for a meal on a Monday evening to be greeted by a beautiful young lady Stephanie and her Co worker Josephine . We were instantly greeted by smiles and laughter and brought to our table. The food was amazing and the service was even better! It’s so nice to walk into a hotel with a homely and welcoming feeling and we will most definitely be back! Stephanie and Josephine made our visit extra enjoyable!
We were weary travelers looking for a last minute start for the late night and happened upon this gorgeous place. The hosts were so incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help us with no notice from us. The grounds were stunning, the food was incredible.
Lovely spot. 2nd stay. Brought our small dog who was welcomed to stay in the outside suite. Amazing service as always from Josephine
We found the staff very courageous and very helpful
Especially the bar staff Josephine and her team
We had a lovely stay at Castle Oaks at the weekend. Room was lovely and large with Elemis products. Food was delicious and staff were amazing, very attentive and accomodating.
We are only home from another lovely, relaxing weekend in Castle Oaks. The hotel has it all, comfy beds, fab location, lovely walks, the river, delicious food & lovely cosy bar but it's the staff that make the stay here so enjoyable & why we keep coming back. Steph on reception is so welcoming, chatty & helpful, Maggie is brilliant at welcoming everyone to breakfast & making sure everyone is fed & Josie is so friendly & on the ball making sure everyone is fed & watered in the bar. They work so hard but do it effortlessly. Looking forward to booking our next stay soon
We had a fantastic stay here in the Castle Oaks Hotel. We stayed in the apartments which were just fab, clean, modern and lovely view of the garden out the back. The whole stay was very relaxed and it's the staff that made it. Big shout out to the following..Stephanie was very welcoming to us at reception and very helpful. The staff in the restaurant were great especially Josephine(restaurant for evening meal) and Maggie (breakfast) were fantastic, great fun, smiles all round, very accommodating. Pool is always a winner with the kids, lovely river walk into town and the arena sports complex was 15min drive away. Would highly recommend
We stayed at the Castle Oaks in February 2026. It was mid week so it wasn’t very busy, perfect for relaxing.
We arrived late in the evening and were checked in by a very friendly and helpful receptionist who couldn’t have been nicer. We went to our room, it was a lovely big room and everything looked fresh and clean.
We went down to the bar and had a drink, the bar is big and very comfortable. There’s a good range of drinks on offer. No rush, as the night porter attends to the bar after normal closing hours, so you could stay there all night if you wanted to (we didn’t).
On returning to our room it was nice and warm, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a stand-alone bath tub.
In the morning went down for breakfast, it was top class, really good and plenty of options from the buffet or the kitchen, eat as much as you like. We were served by Maggie, who is an absolute delight. Her manner, friendliness and character make her a huge asset to the hotel. I had the Full Irish and it was delicious.
Staying in the hotel gives you full access to the leisure centre, which has a pool.
Myself and 2 friends are currently staying in this Hotel. We have found the Hotel room very reasonable and the staff are great, but when we got our food bill we noticed that our Bottle of wine was 32.00 euro , currently for sale in Tesco for 10.50 thought a 4 star Hotel would offer a better wine selection for this price. Had a lovely time, with friends, staying in one of the apartments. Apartments were spacious, new and very clean. Dinner, as a vegetarian, was basic but the lovely Josephine (an asset to the hotel) worked it out for us and made us feel like we were in her home. The house/hotel itself is a beauty, with gorgeous décor and paintings. We'd a lovely walk by the river the next morning. Oh, and the gym is top class - best I've seen in a hotel. All in all a great stay.
I enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere in the hotel. The staff, especially Maggie, Josephine and Stepahanie are supportive and welcoming. The leisure centre is a bonus, there are lovely walks , it is an excellent location , close to Limerick and yet in a village atmosphere. Great breakfeast and comfortable beds.
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Really attentive.
The bedrooms are recently renovated and were lovely and spacious. The bathroom was also very modern with lovely Elemis products.
Special mention to Josephine and Maggie, lovely women, who were kind, pleasant and very helpful.
Everything was wonderful. In particular Maggie and Josephine made the experience special with their warmth, welcome and enthusiasm. We’ll be back !!
I really enjoyed my satay and Josephine made it so personal. She asked my name and used it throughout my evening. I felt welcome and appreciated. I travel a lot for sport and work and I like being appreciated for my custom. The Castle Oaks is a fantastic place to Stay and the staff and especially Josephine were awesome. Thanks
I had a great experience thanks to Josephine’s excellent service. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from start to finish. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxing, which made the whole experience even better. On top of that, the food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!
We come here all the time…Maggie and Josephine are the kindest friendliest ladies myself and my 90 year old Mom have ever met…they always make us feel so welcome and at home…we also love the food…it’s so tasty….we havnt a bad word to say about the hotel and the staff…Anne
