On arrival in very heavy rain last sunday at 1.45 pm I pulled up outside the front door my wife went in and she was informed in a rather RUDE MANNER BY THE RECEPTIONIST " NO ROOMS AVAILABLE UNTIL 3 PM" We are aware of the checking in time BUT she could have said bring in your bags leave them at reception and ye can go to the bar for a cuppa until your room is ready . Which any decent hotel would say .
FIRST IMPRESSIONS REALLY LAST . Other than that everthing was o.k friendly staff in bar [no restaurant ] Food was fine .
I WILL NOT RETURN . Thanks sincerely Vincent ONeill.
Josephine was so kind & helpful to us all at a family funeral yesterday, you made all feel so welcome and it didn’t go unnoticed. Thanks again for all your help
Had Sunday lunch with a group of friends. Our table of 10 was served by Josephine. She was efficient, friendly, joyful and kept her eye on everything following up as required without prompting. The food was excellent and there certainly was service with a smile.
Just back from a girly golf trip to Limerick. This is our 3 time to stay and as always fantastic. Mariam the reservations manager was a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was a problem no matter how many times i contacted her to change the arrangements. Thank you for being sooo pleasant and accommodating.
The bar and Breakfast staff, girls we just love you. We have always had a great laugh with you. There really isn't words to describe how fantastic the staff are here. Thank you all for a wonderful time.
Me & my sister stayed here for a night which was a Xmas present, from the time we arrived in the door of this absolute gorgeous hotel we were treated as VIP's check in was quick & easy. We had Afternoon Tea booked & this was devine & again the staff that looked after us were super.
We had dinner as part of the package & we were given the choice to have it in the bar or go back into the room we had Afternoon Tea. We chose the Bar.
The staff in this hotel are what makes the stay so special.....an extra shout out to Josephine who stood out to us, she even came up to us before her shift ended to say goodbye & to enjoy the rest of our evening.
We had an issue with the heating in the room & this was promptly sorted for us.
We had a beautiful walk around the grounds & we were blessed with the weather to do this.
The only down side i would say was we were awoken at around 4am to loud noises which sounded like a washing machine so I can only think we had the wrong room for this.
But all the good points out way that small issue.
We cannot wait to return.
Please pass on our complete gratitude to all the staff that were on shift Saturday 28th March 2026

The lodges are very spacious and well laid out, with everything you could need. Very comfortable beds. However the showers were very poor. Extremely bad water pressure and you needed to stand nearly up against the wall for what water fell to get you. The silicon was quite mouldy also.
Absolutely fantastic day attending a family wedding.
Staff so helpful especially Josephine.
We booked the Castle Oaks for a Birthday Party along with spending a couple of nights there. The whole experience was more than we expected. We stayed in the suite room. The staff are brilliant, very friendly and accommodating. It's a lovely place on the edge of the river Shannon,we took a few walks across the foot bridge while we were there. We had dinner one evening with family and friends and we we're well looked after. I'd also like to give a special thanks to Martina for helping us out in organising the party and to Maggie for being really friendly.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Castle Oaks hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly especially Josie. The room was very nice and very clean. The food was also very good. We will be back, thanks to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.
Charming cosy hotel. Staff were brilliant and efficient. The bar food was excellent and the breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious. Bedroom was clean and spacious, great decor. Also, great value. I would definitely recommend and we are looking forward to our next visit.
Apts are very handy especially for a family stay. Comfortable. Easy check in. Staff were helpful
Extremely welcoming. From Josephine facilitating our pub meal, getting a table that suited, ensuring the rugby was on and generally being a wonderful hostess and Fernando going the extra mile to make sure my bike was safely stored. Maggie in the morning also provided a warm and bright start to the day. Thanks all.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay, clean rooms, serviced daily, excellent food, atmosphere, and in particular the staff, very helpful, friendly, and make your stay a pleasant experience always. 10/10 for me. 15mins from the city makes it a great start point for all the beautiful attractions limerick has to offer.
Had dinner on Friday the meal was very good and the staff were very helpful and professional. Fernando was very friendly and professional and what can I say about the lovely Josephine a great asset to the hotel. Will definitely return.
It was very quiete around the place. The staff were friendly and Lunch was lovely. The room was great.
Stayed in one of the garden lodges. It was ideal for friends catching up. Very clean and user friendly. Value was great for our needs. Service was excellent and Maggie went above and beyond to accommodate us at meal times. She was super friendly and welcoming.
Its an excellent experience, nice apartment, nice supportive staff.
Nice hotel though it was a bit dated decor wise.We went on a deal with dinner and breakfast included.Dinner a bit disappointing with only two choices and one course included.Weve got the same deal in other hotels with 4 course meal for the same price.Breakfast was good nice friendly staff.Overall nice stay .
My partner and I stopped in for a meal on a Monday evening to be greeted by a beautiful young lady Stephanie and her Co worker Josephine . We were instantly greeted by smiles and laughter and brought to our table. The food was amazing and the service was even better! It’s so nice to walk into a hotel with a homely and welcoming feeling and we will most definitely be back! Stephanie and Josephine made our visit extra enjoyable!
We were weary travelers looking for a last minute start for the late night and happened upon this gorgeous place. The hosts were so incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help us with no notice from us. The grounds were stunning, the food was incredible.
