Third time not the charm :-(
Pros:

The location for us is ideal , the Aquarium and pier is a short walk and not far to the lanes, normally its very comfortable but this time they are doing a refurbishment

Cons:

The fact that the refurbishment was happening would of been very helpful as we would of booked elsewhere this time , the pool table had gone and the main bar area was closed off, also our room was right next to the cleaners cupboard so each morning we were woken up to loud banging and such

Not as good as previous
Pros:

Location is great

Cons:

Smells of urine in the lobby and the makeshift bar due to renovation was poorly stocked. Room had an empty beer bottle in (someone else’s)

The character of the building was impressive, could easily have been on a film set.
Pros:

Good sized room, great water pressure on the bath. Very helpful and friendly staff. Due to disability I asked for a lower floor room near the lift, and that was given.
Large and impressive building

Cons:

Breakfast. No menu. Server was very polite and helpful
We were advised renovations were taking place so couldn't park with blue badge.

Excellent location and welcome.
Pros:

Very central, so easy to get to all the things we went for. Lovely access to the lively prom on Sunday morning.

Cons:

Only had 1 towel for 2 people (just an oversight)
The breakfast was poor quality and the coffee just awful. Please make a little more effort to source and cook appetising food to match the hotel quality.

Pros:

Good location hotel has potential
Pros:

Old charm and location

Cons:

The car park wasn’t open which wasn’t stated online so I had to pay £60 in parking. The hotel is being renovated so it’s in disarray which I wasn’t told about pre-booking. I feel Booking.com didn’t advertise the hotel as it was if it would have I would’ve picked another hotel this time so I’m disappointed with Booking.com.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, BEWARE OF REFURBISHMENTVWORK POSSIBLY SPOULING YOUR STAY
Pros:

Leaving tge hotel

Cons:

The lack of awaremess that a huge refurbishment programme had started resuting in the facilities being very limited, the usial bar and dining areas that we have previously enjoyed hence coming back were closed even the temporary bar was only open for very limited options. Building noise pretty much all lthrough the day and early in the morning. Poor staff attitude, so disappounting, such a shame
