Trotz der „alternden Herrlichkeit“ haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
Pros:

Hervorragende Lage, sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, teilweise ist die Substanz etwas baufällig. Hat aber einen gewissen Charme…

Pros:

Customer service. Every member of the staffs are amazing. We all thank you for your hard work and kind hospitality. Discovering the building it will gives you new bit of history always. The dining room has the pride of Paganini playing in there in 1831. While you are having your breakfast you can play with your imagination going back in time as mostly kept in old form as it was.

Cons:

The days going so fast. 🤣

Pros:

Customer service is second to none. I got an automatic upgrade at my check in to most value my presence as regular customer. Rooms are comfortable and well decorated. The hotel location is excellent. You walk across the road and you find the sea and so many nice restaurants for refreshments. Live singers, icecream, museum everything you want. The hotel itself has got so many beautiful, spacious community areas as well, decorated in style.

Cons:

The carpet a bit old in the room and some parts of the wall could be redecorated.

Pros:

Well located

Cons:

Dirty room (particularly bathroom), odour throughout the hotel, very dilapidated, potentially being used as a bail hotel

Wonderful, old hotel, very atmospheric and being brought up to today's expectations
Pros:

The hotel is in an amazing location, right on the seafront, easy walking to all key areas
The staff were all without exception attentive, friendly and helpful
Character and history of the hotel - main reception rooms are amazing, spacious and lots of seating

Cons:

The hotel is in the middle of renovation so is tired and in need of love, rooms are bright and clean with king size beds and en suites but the corridors and stairs are poorly signed and tatty
Tea/coffee is basic
Temporary bar is limited and no ambience or atmosphere in the reception rooms on the front of the hotel. Clearly recognised and being worked on

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 20 years. Last time I stayed there were mice in the room. Gave it another chanc
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Tried to book parking and the hotel phone message said there is parking on site but it is first come first served. Got there early to find out that it is now a building site. Reception said this is noted on their website. Website does not mention anything about the parking not being available
