Hot tub with full wall mirror was major PLYS...it was comfortable and relaxing for some self care time
Location is perfect if you are cruising out of Baltimore
MICE in the restaurant area! We sat down for breakfast and saw them scurrying about. A couple nearby said they saw 3 of them the night before on the 10th floor.
Breakfast was great, good location, friendly staff, beautiful hotel, very clean, heated pool and hot tub were amazing
Location, restaurant, room were nice and convenient. We could let our vehicle parked while we were on the cruise.
Everything was fine. Liked everything there.
Nice free breakfast. Clean room. We used the hotel's shuttle to and from Hopkins Bayview, which was very helpful and convenient.
The mattress was too soft and sagging.
Although checkout time was 12N, the maid woke us up a little after at 10 AM.
Location was good for getting on a cruise.
Air conditioning did not work well. It was very noisy and the parking lot was crowded with people that did not appear to be staying at the hotel. Beds were not comfortable. Overall would not stay here unless booking for the park and cruise.
Shower is great. Front desk check in staff was friendly and efficient.
Help with transportation options to the airport in pre-dawn hours. Sheets are not soft. Temperature in the lobby was too warm.
(1) I wish I could have made more use of the hot tub and pool. (2) Having a distinct seating area was good, especially as my husband spent much of the day in the room while I attended a conference downtown. (3) The free handicap parking so close to the entrance, a great help especially in the great heat.
(1) If the location had been closer to the convention center, the stay would have been almost perfect. (2) The bartender could have been a little more knowledgeable about their craft. (3) The decor could have been more stylish and vivid, with more art on display.
They did a good job of making an old property look good. You could see the property was old but there were enough modern touches applied where the age of the property wasn't a nuisance.
The room smelled like an old, wet, and dirty carpet with cigarette smoke.
It is concerning to be asked to leave a review when I have been attempting to resolve a serious issue since my stay. During our visit, we were exposed to rats on the property. At the hotel’s request, I provided video evidence, which management reviewed. After doing so, they informed us that we would receive a refund for two nights.
What makes this situation even more troubling is that the hotel was already aware of the rat problem. Staff disclosed during our stay that rodents had been an ongoing issue, particularly during colder weather, and explained that the property keeps a cat on-site to help manage the problem. This confirms the issue was known and not an isolated incident.Despite multiple follow-ups, we were repeatedly told the refund was “pending.” Ultimately, the hotel refused to honor the promised refund, stating it was due to a review I left that accurately reflected our experience.
Booking.com was involved throughout the process and received documentation of all communications. The hotel repeatedly acknowledged the refund and indicated we were only waiting for email confirmation, which never arrived. When I sought further assistance, Booking.com issued an $11 courtesy refund on a stay that totaled nearly $300 and advised that no further compensation could be offered.
Exposure to rodents presents serious health concerns, and the failure to honor a promised resolution only worsens the experience. Due to the health risks, lack of accountability, and poor customer service, I cannot recommend this property.
