Rodd Miramichi

Idéalement situé au bord de la rivière d’où nous avons vu un magnifique couché de soleil. Les fenêtres de la piscine donnent aussi sur la rivière, c’est superbe. La chambre était grande, propre et calme.

The Rodd is a great place to stay, either for business or vacation. Front desk staff (Vanessa) is always so friendly and professional. If you have the chance visit the restaurant too, overlooking the water.

This is a first class Hotel in an excellent location. Highly recommendable on every level including the restaurant. Friendly well trained staff.

We stayed here during a New Brunswick road trip. The hotel was lovely with a fabulous setting and we received a warm welcome from the friendly reception staff. Our room was big, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel has a restaurant, the 1809, which I would recommend. One thing to bear in mind, if you’re from out of town, is that Miramichi is two settlements - the business district (Chatham, where the hotel is) and downtown (Newcastle) which are a good distance apart, at least a half hour drive, especially at the moment as the main bridge across the river is closed. My only criticism of the Rodd is that it’s pricey for what it is, especially as breakfast is not included.

I’ve always enjoyed my stays at the Rodd Hotel in Miramichi, which is why this experience was so disappointing.

My friend and I stayed in Room 105, and the smell coming from the bathroom was overwhelming. It had a very strong odour of old urine, to the point that I was genuinely gagging whenever I went into the bathroom.

When we brought the issue to the front desk, the employee’s response was equally disappointing. He was very dismissive of our concerns. He avoided making eye contact, barely responded to us, and when he did, it was only with a simple “mhmm.” There was no apology, concern, or effort to address the issue, which made us feel like our concerns weren’t being taken seriously.

I’ve always had positive experiences here in the past, so I hope this was an isolated incident. However, both the condition of the room and the customer service during this stay were well below what I’ve come to expect.

The Hotel was beautiful the view beautiful. I was relaxed and completely enjoyed my stay. I went for breakfast with my son pricing was fair but I was a little disappointed when I got my French toast and one very small piece of watermelon. the syrup was very runny no whip cream and powered sugar. The French toast did taste good.

This hotel is quite pleasant and welcomes pets, offering a prime location directly by the river. The sunset views from the restaurant and patio are absolutely stunning. The on-site restaurant, 1809, is highly commendable, and its staff is exceptionally competent and performs their duties admirably. In terms of pricing, both dinner and breakfast offer good value. The beds are genuinely comfortable and rooms are notably spacious.

Mooi gelegen hotel (zicht op de rivier) in Miramichi. Vriendelijk onthaal, mogelijkheid tot ontbijt in hotel of in de buurt. Mooie en ruime kamer, goede bedden, verzorgde badkamer. Goed en aangenaam verwarmd zwembad en afzonderlijke whirlpool. Mooie omgeving (bezoek aan park Kouchibougeac op 35 min).

Asked for early check-in. Not ready upon arrival. Had to ask again and again to see if room could be clean first.
Finally told twenty minutes. Still time to get ready.
Called for coffee and toast in am. On hold for ten minutes while someone went to check. Never came back on phone. Not available for room service. Not available even to go to sit in restaurant. Only full buffet breakfast. Full stop.
So very disappointing in services. Rooms themselves are lovely. But lacking in customer service and experience.

Our stay at Rodd Miramichi was wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a great menu for both children and adults. We loved the beautiful river view and the amazing sunsets. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel’s services very much. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back. Thank you for making our family trip so special!

Nous avons séjourné 1 soir seulement mais si nous avions à repasser dans ce coin, oui nous retournerons certainement à cet endroit. 21 juillet au 22 juillet 2026. Très belle chambre. 2 lit queen, très bon matelas confo. Chambre 203 se trouvait vers le stationnement mais pour nous ce fût correct. Terrasse accessible vers l'eau, tres bo paysage. Tres bon déjeuner au restaurant du motel, chaise hyper confo. Aucun bruit de la nuit, piscine creuser intérieur et spa tourbillons wow! On a tout essayé. Tout le 2e étage côté impaire est du côté parking. Le côté pair est côté de l'eau. Je n'ai pas pris de photo de l'établissement nous avons profité des lieux.
