Good hotel
Pros:

The hotel is in a fantastic location, conveniently situated close to shops, restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to explore the area. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more pleasant.

Cons:

I appreciate the historical charm and character of the hotel, but I do feel that some refurbishment and redecoration would make a big difference. The walls looked a little dirty, and the wallpaper was peeling off in places. While I understand it’s an old building, a little more attention to maintenance would help preserve its charm and make the stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

A good traditional old fashioned style hotel right in the town centre with friendly staff
Pros:

The breakfast was good as well as friendly staff you have the option of both a cooked full English breakfast and continental breakfast as well which was nice.

Cons:

You had to hand in and collect your room key every time you left and arrived back at the hotel which seems a bit old fashioned and somewhat ridiculous

Central, good food but needs lifting.
Pros:

Breakfast was consistently good. Very close to everything. In a nice quarter of the town.

Cons:

Room 107 needs refreshing. TV in wrong place for beds Too much noise early mornings on the cobbled street underneath the room window - it really is loud, early and every day.

Fabulous staff and central location
Pros:

Fabulous welcome from lovely friendly staff 🙏 a nice touch - sherry on arrival!
It’s a beautiful quaint hotel right in town very easy to walk from the train station. 24 hour reception. Lovely breakfast and a real Shrewsbury experience!

Cons:

The council leaf blower was out at 8 am right outside my window on Friday. It was okay for me but if you are coming in late maybe request an off street room
My single bedroom bathroom would need a bit of a renewal, slightly awkward design.
