Lovely location.
Very relaxing hotel
Lovely staff, beautiful location, good shower pressure
Pillows were extremely uncomfortable
They tried to charge my card £50 without asking " as a card they would use to charge for room charges"
👍👍
The location - beautiful surroundings. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The pool was nice, good gym, close to Kendal and good car parking.
Miserable person on reception. Gave us little or no information without having to ask and was colder than a frozen fish. Felt like it was a poor start and put us on the back foot. Didn't eat in the hotel because of this lack of warm welcome. Not what you want after a 7 hour drive. Room was dusty, hot and tired and not great value for money at all. tiny bathroom and poor shower. No car charging facilities.
Restaurant and spa area. Lounge had games. Refreshments in the room. Clean bathroom.
Robes were stiff and not soft. Sofa bed not great.
Staff was amazing and food was delicious

The staff were amazing, cheerful, helpful, great customer service.
The burger in the lounge was over cooked, dry for my taste.
Excellent gym and swimming pool. Friendly staff, food reasonable
Decor a bit tired and the wallpaper was peeling on the ceiling. The room was clean however.
Friendly, good location

Large, clean comfortable room (standard King). Friendly staff, lovely grounds.
Room not ready despite arriving nearly half an hour after check in time (3pm). We were offered a complimentary drink in the bar and had to wait a further 20 minutes . There was a lengthy delay in receiving our order in the restaurant, servings were small bland and overpriced .we were charged the service charge and had to request it be removed. In the end we paid £72 for two mains one glass of wine.
Paying £10 a night for parking feels stingy for an out of town location. .
This is a comfortable hotel, with good facilities and very nice staff. The breakfast was fine overall (see below re scrambled egg).Otherwise, good coffee and a decent range of breakfast food. Dinner in the adjoined Pub was good, though steak had to be redone, was not medium rare. the room was comfortable.
At breakfast the pan of scrambled egg looked very overcooked, solid umpy and extremely unappealing. A staff member made me a fresh one, which was very good, A really pity about the large of it, which was removed by another member of staff. The shower in the room was a bit dated, but fine otherwise. The hotel could advertise that it is just over a mile outside the main town area, would have been useful to know that.
