The food was delicious and well presented. The treatment was very good
The pool facility was very disappointing. The bed was a bit small and not very comfortable
The hotel was lovely. Food in the restaurant was nice.
The room wasn't the biggest, which considering I paid extra to go to a King room, the standard rooms must be tiny! Breakfast was a little overpriced at £16 per person you did not really get much, lots of items missing from the buffet and staff too overwhelmed to do anything about it.
The size of the rooms are rather spacious the bar area and restaurant are very relaxing with some great views.
Access can be difficult for some people as a few rooms are only accessed by stairs, so make sure you let them know as they have plenty of easy access rooms.
Breakfast was not great
Clean and tidy.
Very good views and situation
Love the comfort and cleanliness of the room and the hotel.Love the buffet breakfast.
The location of the Castle Green hotel is perfect for a brisk walk into the town.
Excellent breakfast clean rooms very friendly staff
Nice and comfy staff very pleasant.
Parking charge extortionate, breakfast not very hot. We have been to Alexander's pub many times over the years, but very disappointed with the menu and comments from people in the town as we have many friends there. Prices change alot from your website, so we chose booking.com and a few days before our arrival you dropped your prices and offered free parking and breakfast. Will have to consider seriously about staying on future visits to Kendal at Castle Green Hotel.
We opted for a KIng room with view - worth the extra.
Room and bathroom very comfortable. The over bath shower was OK for a mobility impaired person as the grab handles were well placed
Lunch of tuna sndwich and a cream scone was more than adequate .
It seemed unfortunate that dinner was set at 2 or 3 courses as we couldn't face that quantity.
The exterior walk down to Alexanders restaurant was dark and many steps which wasn't that convenient for a mobility impaired guest
Buffet breakfast was well presented
Lovely staff, polite and helpful, lovely rooms and views, we had a King room, bed very big and comfortable. We ate at Alexsanders Saturday evening, so nice to have a separate pub in the hotels grounds. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful, buffet style but piping hot and fully stocked. Lovely pool, clean changing area, lovely leisure staff too.
There's nothing I don't like about this hotel, we've visited many times and it never disappoints.
Lovely and very filling afternoon tea. I don’t usually love afternoon tea, but this one was more of mini lunch and deserts. Nice drinks to choose from too. Very reasonably priced. Nice table and service great too. Would reccomend.
We have just come back from doing afternoon tea. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. The food was amazing, and great value for money! Would recommend and definitely going back.
Lovely place every thing was lovely, clean etc, good facilities nice quiet location breakfast was lovely lots of options, will be staying again.soon
What a beautiful hotel. The atmosphere is very chilled and the staff go out of the way to make your stay just perfect
Nothing is too much trouble from the cleaners, chefs, managers and reception staff
The rooms are enough and lovely, warm , clean and quiet.
There are other areas to the hotel whichwe didn't use this time but will next time.
I have stayed here a few times and are going to come back soon.
