The breakfast spread was awesome.
The bed was really comfortable.

The first thing that caught my attention at Sofitel Saigon Plaza was that this is a seriously detail-oriented hotel. Pre-arrival communication was very detailed, special arrival arrangements were well coordinated, and it all suggested an operation that really knows what it is doing.

Which could explain why I was so surprised when, upon entering the room, the first thing I saw was an unflushed toilet.

Kudos to the Duty Manager who not only appeared calm & composed, but genuinely apologised and tried her best for a recovery. While I did appreciate that courtesy, I could not help but mentally remind myself that a similar amount of care and attention paid to the recovery would have gone so much further if it had been spent BEFORE anything from the room was put out.

I was just as bewildered on another front. It was obvious a lot of effort had gone into arranging our arrival before check-in, but paperwork way too simple to be resolved at that moment, were only addressed at the very end. However, it got worse: we sat with management that discussed the room but helped us [...]. There were a variety of points at which things that remained to be done could have been resolved, so it was hard to see how it only became urgent once we had already checked out.

Personally, the room never felt as cool as you would feel in a luxury facility and that played against our comfort during our stay.

Staff were unfailingly courteous, and I actually believe they wanted to help. But my feeling was that the hotel's focus on details was stronger in the booking process than during the experience as a guest.

The big gestures rarely defines luxury. That memory is recalled more frequently through the small things that guests never notice, because they were quietly done correctly from the start.

I have just checked out of Room 1619 &before continuing my journey to Munich, I simply wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

yur wonderful team made my very first visit to Vietnam truly magical. It was far more than just a hotel stay. It became another unforgettable chapter in my family’s long journey with Accor, the Heartist philosophy.

I absolutely loved the elegant rose petals around the bathroom, the fresh bouquet displayed on my table, the warm welcome amenities & every thoughtful detail your team prepared. Those little surprises transformed my arrival into an emotional& memorable Heartist moment.

The Phở I ordered through room service late at night was absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect introduction to authentic Vietnamese cuisine, and I can already understand why it is loved around the world.

I also wanted to sincerely thank you for embracing my partner Allen YAO, Ching-Han YAO, through your thoughtful welcome. Seeing his photo included among the personalised touches genuinely meant a lot to both of us.

One small favour, if possible. I noticed your team had prepared a beautiful one minute welcome video highlighting my life journey, career achievements and personal milestones. it means so much to me.

If I may offer one small piece of feedback, it relates only to Club Millésime. The lovely lady who worked 20 July 2026 at 6 AM there was absolutely fabulous. She remained warm, professional and attentive throughout my visit. However, I genuinely felt for her because she appeared to be managing the lounge on her own. At one stage, another guest waiting to check out looked a little anxious simply because she was trying her very best to assist multiple guests at once. This certainly wasn’t a reflection on her performance. In fact, it demonstrated how dedicated she is. I simply wondered whether an additional colleague during busy periods might help deliver an even more seamless luxury experience. Tram Nguyen (Club Millesime) cannot thank you enough.

There were also no slippers or hairdryer in my room. It honestly wasn’t an issue for me as I have short hair and simply dried it with a towel, but I thought I’d mention it in case housekeeping would like to know.

As someone working in actuarial science, we often discuss guest satisfaction through measures such as Net Promoter Score, reputation and long term loyalty. Yet experiences like this remind me that the strongest predictor of guest loyalty is something far less measurable. Genuine human kindness. Your team created those emotional connections beautifully, and I have no doubt they are the reason guests continue returning to Sofitel.

Stayed here with a group, and the team absolutely nailed it.

From check-in to departure, everything ran seamlessly. The rooms were comfortable, the service was genuine, and every interaction felt warm and effortless.

A really nice touch was being personally welcomed by the General Manager on arrival and then seeing them again to say goodbye on departure. Small gestures like that make a lasting impression.

A special mention to ST25 by KOTO, where the dining experience was the perfect finish. Properly good food, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavour.

Big credit to everyone behind the scenes for making the stay such an enjoyable one.

The frient staff service from hotel entrance and throught out during my stay. It has good range of gym equipment and space and yoga classes and separate space.

Had an amazing stay here. Travelled as a family with 2 kids and the hotel was very accommodative to our requirements. Thank you to the attentive and ever smiling staff of Sofitel Saigon Plaza for making our stay so memorable.

A truly amazing experience. Firstly, the team. All the employees are really customer focused and extremely friendly. The GM, Director of operations etc are grounded and integral part of the day to day running of the hotel. Food selection at breakfast was excellent. ( Missed i
Indian food though!) Restaurants are well decorated, thoughtful Menu’s, rooms clean, very well lit up etc I could go on and on. Will look forward to going back.

Stayed for a quick business trip due to the good location within D1. Loved the room, the amenities and the service. Very efficient and always friendly. Special shout out to Ms. Thuy! Also met the GM Mr. Minty at the breakfast, a true British gentleman. Looking forward to stay again soon!

We stayed at Sofitel Saigon Plaza for seven nights as part of a group trip and had a truly wonderful experience.

From the moment we landed at the airport until our departure, every arrangement was handled professionally and seamlessly. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, the food was excellent, and the overall hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional.

A special word of appreciation to Mr. Alistair Minty, the General Manager, and his entire team for taking such wonderful care of us. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to guest comfort made our stay especially memorable.

I recently stayed at Sofitel Saigon Plaza and overall the experience was excellent. This is a hotel I would strongly recommend, especially for travelers who plan to spend more time enjoying the hotel itself and want a more relaxing stay.

The location is strategic, making it convenient to get around Ho Chi Minh City. My room was not very big, but I did receive an upgrade, which I appreciated. The room was comfortable and came with a coffee machine, which was very convenient for me.

One thing I really liked was the thoughtfulness of the service. The hotel offers a pre-order breakfast to enjoy in the room, and although I did not use it, I thought it was a very considerate touch. Housekeeping was also very well organized. They provided a request card where I could fill in what I needed, and the person preparing my room followed it accordingly. I usually ask for more drinking water, and with this card, it was very easy and efficient.

Another detail that made the stay memorable was the evening service. They would knock on my door to ask if I needed anything, and if not, I would receive a chocolate from the room service team. On my last night, I even received two chocolates, and honestly, this small gesture really elevated the overall experience for me. It showed genuine care and attention to detail.

The staff were helpful and kind, and the lounge service was good as well. The view from the lounge is very nice, especially around sunset. I also appreciated getting an early check-in at 12pm and late check-out at 4pm, thanks to my Accor Platinum member privileges.

The gym was impressive too. You can clearly see that the equipment has been upgraded, and they are using Technogym, which is a premium brand. Everything was good overall, except that the second treadmill from the left did not feel properly calibrated. For someone who runs regularly and is very familiar with treadmills, it was quite noticeable.

Breakfast was another highlight of the stay. The choices were great, and I especially loved the coffee selection. Since Vietnam is the second-largest coffee producer in the world, I really enjoyed exploring the different styles available. My favorites were the salted coffee, egg coffee, and coconut coffee. The raw honeycomb was also a very interesting touch. On top of that, I really loved the juice bar. There were so many colorful options, and just seeing the vibrant juices in the morning made me happy.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable and well-rounded stay. The service felt warm and thoughtful, the breakfast was excellent, the lounge was pleasant, and the hotel created a truly relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Sofitel Saigon Plaza to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.

We stayed there for 3 nights on our first lag of Vietnam trip. The hotel is fine, however some stuff feels a bit dated. For instance air conditioning system, with old fashioned control panel which makes it really hard to adjust / control. On the other hand, the breakfast is the best I have ever had plus hotel crew is very friendly and helpful.
Very good location for sightseeing. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
