Just home from Sol Apartments
Excellent location, pool area fab and staff very friendly
Only down side was the studio
It was clean but their was a damp, musty smell and the bedding was also damp. After a day of our clothes hanging, when we put them on they felt damp also. Woke up every morning with a sore head and throat because of the damp/mould smell. Thankfully we weren’t in the studio that much.
I think because it was an end studio on the ground covered by trees and other buildings at the back of it, it got no sun at all. We actually love sitting out the front but could not do this due being so dull all day
Was very disappointed as my daughter previously stayed here and her studio was beautiful and def not damp
We were there 4 nights, def couldn’t of stayed anymore in that studio
Maybe would go back again because of location and pool but would be asking for a different room

Home after a wonderful week here with friends, this place has excellent facilities. We stayed in a ground floor apartment with a bathroom which was supplied with a hairdryer, good quality two in one shampoo and conditioner , shower gel and hand soap. The bedroom had two single beds ample wardrobe space. And a living area with a small kitchen fitted with a microwave, fridge and stove top. All seemingly brand new and I’d say the whole place looked as though it had been through a makeover. There was also a table and pullout double sofa bed.
Maid service every other day and they provided clean towels each time. Air conditioning free and free Wi-Fi. The pool area was very nice with a beautiful pool and ample sun lounger’s, a small bar which provided snacks as well. Optional breakfast was € 14 pp, or if you paid for the week it was discounted to €12pp. They served a wide range of top quality choices and like the apartment's, everything was immaculately clean. But the main Plus of this apartment is it’s location, everywhere is in walking distance with a beautiful coved beach at the end of the road and central to all the bar’s restaurants and shops plus the harbour. There’s a great bar opposite “HollyWoods”
And a wonderful restaurant “Tiki taki” and of course plenty of supermarkets if you choose to eat indoors. We were all pleasantly surprised as to be honest we didn’t pay much each but we’re already considering returning as ALL the staff were so pleasant all the time

Spent two weeks in 122 apartment bad experience. No sun in seating area outside was in the dark for two weeks had to stay in when came back Dutch people next door where all smokers and if door was open apartment filled with smoke.
had to unblock sink first day after getting out of shower went to use sink it was bolcked . Black sewage was bolcking the sink i had no choice but try and sort out to my peril was a mistake the smell lasted a fortnight they did try to help with disinfectant. In looking back should of left it but was stuck with i towel around me and it was early morning i thought just do it myself i dont think it had ever been cleaned it stunk it was back filled with black waste. The ceiling was a state of collapse. But the smell never went in two weeks and the only feedback was when they came to apartment was there is nothing they can do . Thanks for a bad apartment .

Gave us the only dark, no balcony room on the floor, (30+ apartments), FALSELY claiming the hotel was “full”, and refused to change the room, after our requests - while hotel parking was only 25% taken, we cold reserve 1 bedroom apt (the same we had) on 2 websites, for that day, w/o any problem …. Overal BERY BAD management - do NOT recommend …

Basic 3 star studio apartment.
Location for this place is excellent, not far from beaches and shops/restaurant.

The apartment was ok for what you pay.
Very basic, fridge ok. Induction hob , not so great.
Beds where hard, squeaky and only 1 very flat as pancake pillow, had to ask for another one.
Bathroom sufficient but basic.

Stayed here end of August and had two nights with no air conditioning despite reporting it multiple times. Reception staff were dismissive, gave us a fan, and promised it would be fixed, but it wasn’t, and by the time they admitted it wouldn’t be repaired before we left, it was too late.
We asked about compensation as we couldn't stay in our room we stayed in my partners room for two nights because it was so humid. But we were told to pay our full bill and claim through our holiday provider, which turned out to be completely wrong.
We’ve since emailed the hotel and had no response at all. Really disappointing customer service for what should have been a great stay.

Sentral beliggenhet til strand (Cala Gran) og sentrum. En del av hotellet ligger mot bargate hvor det var karaoke hver kveld med høy lyd frem til 00:00.
Fint og rent, god standard på rommene. Lytt mellom soverommene, kunne høre plystring og prat.
Bra bassengområde og stedet virker ny oppusset i resepsjon og frokostområde.
Bar og kjøkken ved bassengområdet.

Just come back from our holiday at Sol Cala d’or
Overall, we had a lovely time,
We stayed in the ground floor apartment.
It was very clean staff were pleasant, and we stayed bed & breakfast the breakfast was nice had plenty of choice.
The room was ok for 3 people, I would say it would be a squeeze with more than 3.
We did have a few issues in the room one being the constant sound of drainage from a drain pipe above our heads in the bedroom. I will attach a video listen closely.
This didn’t seem to bother my husband, but if your sensitive to sound when you’re trying to sleep, I’d say get some earplugs.
Our shower had a problem with the fitting, so the shower was constantly spraying out past the glass & would soak the floor. Cleaning was every two days, however we always seem to get them right at the end of the day so when we would return to our room, the cleaning was still not done. I’d say that came to the room about 4:30 & Cleaning is finished by 5, We would run out of towels before then, they did Clean very well once they were there.
It was so nice having the pool view & also being able to walk straight out from the apartment to the sun-beds & pool.
We didn’t have problems getting sunbeds but then again we were there at the beginning of September, don’t know what it would be like in the in the busy season.

Another fabulous visit to Sol Cala D'or. Requested a low floor room due to my mobility and we were given an accessible room just off the pool. It was great for us as a family with two teenagers as it was really big, compared to the room last year. It had a door that opened up to get to the pool and a door the other side to a terrace overlooking the gardens which was lovely and peaceful. The hotel is spotless. All the staff work really hard and treat you like old friends. We had a lovely gift left for us for returning. We are super sad that we can't return as a family as our children have now got too old for us to share one room. The pool is wonderful. Yes like everywhere there are people who are selfish with the sunbeds, Im not sure how anywhere solves this, but we were able to get them when we wanted. We don't spend our whole holiday around the pool anyway as there's too much to see in this beautiful resort. If you are thinking about booking, do it. You honestly won't regret it. Family friendly, clean, quiet and hard working staff. What more do you need.

We spent 11 nights in in August as a large family group of 11. The location was excellent - 2 of our party have reduced mobility so the location was perfect. Could not fault that at all. The rooms were basic, but clean and we only used them for sleeping and showering etc, so could not fault them. We didn't cook in them, the fridge was handy for water and snacks.

It was a lovely family vibe and we always managed to get beds - certainly not 11 as that would have been rude to be honest, we managed with what we got as the children were in and out of the pool, or relaxing on the patio reading.

Little snack bar was great, didn't use it much but drinks we had and snacks just fine.

I would recommend for families. If we came back as a couple without children or a small group of adults we would look to use your sister hotel next door for added luxury. We could not fault these apartments. The win was the location - absolutely perfect.

we have just returned from a week in August at this hotel, we really enjoyed our stay, the hotel was clean and tidy and staff very helpful and friendly
no rowdy groups just nice families
our room was 101 which was a ground floor apartment, size was ok with separate bedroom and teenager slept on a bed in the room, we did hear the gate banging alot, would advise this to be sorted as can disturb a nights sleep with people coming back from a night out, we had doors which opened up to the pool area so we didn’t have to go through the hotel which was handy especially if u needed to pop back to the room which had everything you needed and were cleaned every 2 days and had great air con
pool area was nice, great deep end but no diving, it was clean and tidy, lifeguard on duty all day, no lilo's aloud but seemed ok with other inflatables and playing ball games which lifeguard kept in order if some were going silly
if you weren’t up at 8am you wouldn’t get a sun bed, I put mine on at 7am once and the lifeguard removed the towels and put them behind the beds as he likely thought we had been too long until we sat on them and I did see him do this with others which is fare enough
hotel very central to all beautiful beaches, bars and restaurants
we did starfish boat trip which was ok, abit expensive for 4 hours
we also went on a buggy trip which was average, no off road so bit boring
Cala D’Or was beautiful and has a great vibe, busy and so many lovely restaurants and bars serving fab cocktails 🍹we loved it and will definitely return 😀

Good location - thankfully close to beaches and other things to do as NO chance of having a sunbed. Complained to the reception and lifeguard multiple times about this and was reassured they don’t permit but not doing anything about it! People putting towels down on beds at 10pm the night before and not even using beds the whole day! Ridiculous!

We had a great stay here mid August. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and had everything needed for self catering.
Location of the hotel is fantastic for beach hopping and lots of bars and restaurants close by.

Stayed at this hotel August 2025 for a week with my mum and sister we went self catering. Room was a good size big double very comfy and a sofa bed which pulls another single bed out underneath, and kitchen. Rooms were cleaned every 2 days. Main entrance and breakfast restaurant was modern. There is a snack bar which makes fresh pizzas and other food and good prices on drinks at the pool bar. Sunbeds were taken early and busy time of year being August. Reception was very welcoming upon arrival. The beaches were very close by there were two beaches 7 minute walk either side. Around a 10 minute walk to the square with plenty of restaurants and a few bars. Highly recommend the star fish boat trip in Cala d’or the dolphins were amazing.

Had a lovely stay from 25th July to 4th of August with my family.

The main positive points are:
Clean apartments
Clean and modern reception and breakfast room
Central Location - Just 8 minuets walk to Cala Gran Beach and 10 minutes walk to the town centre (at a stroll).
Happy and Helpful Staff.

Negatives:
(please bear in mind I'm being honest and picky)
No Pool Loungers - if you like to get up and 6am to put towels out by the pool this is for you. I'm not a big pool lover but it was an issue as even if the towels were our at 6am they were still there by 1pm - a little selfish and if I was the management, it would be 1 hour no return policy and the reserve would be removed!

Other than that, was a love experience and our apartment 813 was perfect!

Just returned from a week stay and I can highly recommend these apartments.
Spacious and clean. Love the quirkiness of the main reception. Staff friendly and helpful.
My only negative would be the sunbed hoggers that had put towels on beds and weren’t seen all day and nothing was done to remove their towels. Sunbeds are positioned very close to one another so no leg room to get off them. Also it would be nice if the apartments could offer a pool towel service.
The poolside bar is great with large choice of drinks/cocktails and the food was great.
Apartments are in a perfect spot, so close to all of the calas and the town centre.
I will definitely be returning.

Brilliant apartments in the centre of everything. Pool lovely. Still the odd sunbed hogging and would love to see more off the life guard putting notices on people's bed that are leaving them for hours unattended. The staff super friendly and I got a smile when I tried use some broken Spanish. The staff where so helpful and this can be said for reception right through to the cleaning personal. It was very hot while we were there and I appreciate the work the staff do in the heat which can't be easy. I stayed in room 522 I think and it was perfect. We did request a pool few and we had three rooms for six of us.I would have no problem recommending these apartments to anyone and would consider returning next year.Keep up the good work guys and thank you for all the hard work you did for us.We where the irish family of six and will spread the word about how good the apartments are. And maybe we will see you guys next year.adios

Absolutely amazing apartments.So close to everything.Every member of staff is a credit to these apartments so friendly,considerate and helpful.Complex is spotless.Pool bar that serves food and drinks is just spot on.

We were bed and breakfast and there was so much to choose from at the breakfast .
Delicious!!

Just arrived home with my daughter after a 7 night stay at Sol. We stayed self catering and the room has a fridge, oven, two ring induction hob , toaster and kettle. There were ample cooking utensils for us as we not planning on doing any cooking during our stay. We stayed in room 326 which was on the 2nd floor (accessible by lift). This room had a lovely pool view. I did email the hotel beforehand to request a pool view.
The grounds of the hotel were lovely and only had trouble one day getting a sun-bed as we had been at the beach all morning.
The hotel is ideally situated to be able to walk to all 3 beaches (Cala gran being the closest, 5 minutes down the road, casa Esmeralda 10 minute walk & Cala Ferrera 15). Cala gran and Cala ferrera both have sun-beds to hire, we paid €16.95 for 2 which includes a safe for your belongings, you can pay by cash or card.
The best supermarket was Mercadona which is up by the harbor, this was a 20 minute walk from the hotel and stocked all the essentials at a great price, fresh bread and all bakery items including delicious ensaimadas (perfect with a coffee!)
All in all a fantastic stay at Sol Cala D’or, would 100% come back!

On arrival we were located to a ground floor apartment.No natural light.Bedroom window outlook was onto a storage area,where the kept cleaning chemicals in large 20ltr drum,ants on the fridge.Did not even unpack and asked to be moved.They moved us the following day to the 3rd floor,which was an improvement. The hotel was OK,but I won't be back. If you are booking ask for an apartment which is not on the ground floor,or you will be very disappointed.
