Well located, helpful staff, slightly outdated, not value for money this time.
Pros:

The location is great - the main reason for selection was the proximity to the Gautrain to avoid early morning traffic to ORTIA.

Nice reception and friendly and helpful staff. We think that we dealt with a rookie (software issue), but she got help pretty quickly.

We were on the 7th floor, and it was nice to be able to open the windows to let fresh air in. It also lets Rosebank sound in, but that is a personal choice.

Very well provisioned - biscuits, rusks, brownies, coffee, tea, plenty of water. Turndown service. We had a King Room, and it was very roomy.

Cons:

Check-in took half an hour - we arrived at 14h20 and were asked to wait for feedback from housekeeping. We were forgotten - had to go back to ask.

The bathroom was adequate but now outdated - a big bath, small shower, old tilework and loose fittings. But the linen was plentiful and in good condition.

The bar was not manned at 21h00 and is a bit of an afterthought. We thought to go for a nightcap at 21h10 and encountered no attendants.

Breakfast starting at 06h30 is too late for airline travellers. We had to miss it altogether to catch the Gautrain to make the security line-ups at ORTIA.

Simply put, we were on a tight schedule for a one-nighter and needed more urgency and availability than we encountered.

I love this hotel. I have only good things to say about it.
Pros:

The breakfasts are great, especially the wide range of options on the menu. The buffet is also very good.
The staff are all wonderful -- friendly, helpful, efficient, go the extra mile. They make it feel like a home away from home.
The location is excellent. Adjacent to a very nice mall, with lots of good restaurants in the area. The hotel's own restaurant offers delicious food for dinner. Their garden and patio is very pleasant and quiet, and the pool is nice too (just wish it was heated).
The hotel is also close to public transport (Gautrain), offers its own free shuttle within 5 km, and has easy access to Uber.

Cons:

Nothing.

Grand, well appointed hotel in good, safe location
Pros:

Lovely hotel in character building adjacent to shopping malls and dining precinct
Our room was very spacious and well apppointed
They do half day rates which was fantastic for us with a late flight out

Cons:

Our private transfer didn’t show up but Willard more than made up for it and handled it very well

Pros:

Excellent location. Luxurious, comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast. I found the staff to be welcoming and helpful. The room was equipped with numerous added items which made the stay so wonderful.

It was a special evening out and the atmosphere and the service in the hotel definitely helped to make the evening memor

A stunning beaded Daxie as an ornament in the bedroom that was a very special detail for an animal rights activist. 💕
