To the manager of Ibis, I suggest you contact Expedia and find out why booking is not confirming on your end.
Otherwise, a good place to sleep. :)
The hotel is out of the way from a lot of things. You either have to drive anywhere or take a taxi. It would be unsafe to be walking around at night.
My stay was disappointing due to these reasons,. No Internet, no TV, No iron, no one came to look at the why TV was not working even after calling at reception.
Staff was good.
Common toilets at ground floor feels like you are in a guest house.
Overall expeywas disappointing. I would suggest Clayton, they are next level.
The hotel room was fine, reception staff very polite. However it would have been nice to let us know it's being part used as a hostel, not that that is a major problem but at €170 a night it's rather expensive. I would have to re think using the IBIS chain again before checking the reviews
Keep away as food choice is terrible. Only pi,zza on offer between 7 to 8.30pm. No dinner menu. Beer over priced. Cleaning and hoovering while eating. Chairs in room hard wooden type. Children running and playing on landings.
I stayed in this hotel before, but this time wasn't good, I arrived at 8.30pm and the restaurant was closed, there is no restaurants around the hotel, I was offered pizza which I acepted but I couldn't eat half of it, there was a broken light swich to the batnroom which was not safe, I was given another room, second day my room wasn't done and when I asked the answer was no staff, noting when I left my room that day staff was already cleaning other rooms,
As soon as I arrived into the carpark I had a feeling this hotel was the wrong choice.
The bin in the carpark was overflowing with rubbish and alcohol bottles on top of it...... The hotel itself outside looks like it hasn't been cleaned or painted for a few years.
The staff were nice and friendly and that's about the only good thing I can say about this hotel.
The sink in our bathroom had hair in it from previous guests.
When we checked out the next day, the bin in the carpark was still overflowing with the same beer bottles on top of it.
This place doesn't get cleaned properly or possibly doesn't get cleaned at all.
My advice to you is stay somewhere else.
From pulling up in the car, to check-in and seeing the room, the whole hotel is severely depressing. The other hotel guests were all refugees and the hotel was clearly geared up for them specifically! The hotel is not in safe walking distance for food and yet the hotel canteen only served the refugees. A serious facility that wasn’t available to paying guests!
There were building materials in the hallway, and to top the stay off nicely the Wi-Fi didn’t work! We sat in our sad grey and blood red room waiting for the Wi-Fi to be restarted at reception. After 2 trips up and down to reception to communicate the Wi-Fi frustration and lack of any internet which is specifically mentioned as a hotel facility perk, we lost interest and moved our focus to having a nice shower. The bathroom was mostly clean but again, seriously depressing to be in with a loud fan.
Upon checkout I specifically chose the option to pay for the rooms (I had 2 rooms for my family) in local currency and on a different card to which I booked the rooms with to avoid getting bank charges. The staff member had a different idea for this and not only did I receive a bank charge from sterling to euros, it charged me twice for each room! Absolutely livid about this. The receptionist never asked about this and just put the transaction through before we could discuss the payment method! A fitting end to the most depressed hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
It was very close to the tram station so it’s easy to get downtown
Staff were very helpful at the property. We were impressed that they were hosting Ukrainians on the property.
Hotel was home to many refugees and in the process of having building work conducted. Lots of building materials in hallways. No air conditioning in the room and if you leave window open you get the constant noise of the motorway that is nextdoor. Food choices are limited so you need will need to go out some distance to get good a good choice. Not very good value for the money paid.
The hotel was being used by Ukraine refugees. There was kids running about everywhere. Building materials left in corridors. My room had rubbish still under the bed. The radiator had something spilt on it and not properly cleaned up and was starting to rust. The floor was stained and so were the curtains. Would not stay again had I been informed of the situation before booking I would of booked elsewhere. I understand we need to help out but this was a business trip and my sleep was effected by this.
I love that they're pet friendly!!
Unfortunately due to the hotel being full of refugees I was unable to stay and I am having great trouble getting to speak to someone in Hotels.com regarding the situation
Great staff.
Someone with a key came in our room in the middle of the night. obviously the Hotel made a mistake and booked someone else into our room. They kept knocking on the door and kept us awake for a while. We called the front desk but no answer. This never happened to me at a Hotel before.
Quite ok but still expensive for the service
a full refurbishment would be needed
cleanliness is quite poor, floors are really stinky and dirty
The room was quite large, but the shower had a fixed glass panel. Where this didn't affect me, any traveler that is not slim and trim might not be able to enter and exit the shower - just an observation. The local transportation station (LUAS) is fairly walkable, but only if not carrying luggage. Staff was friendly and the menu had enough variety for most travelers.
Friendly, helpful staff with great breakfast and easy access to the LUAS.
