Great pool area, shame about the restaurant location facing the balcony’s floors 1 - 3!
Pros:

Pool was great and location for us was great doing a road trip. Rooms where ok and view if located high up was great (all be it not very pleasant if in the east tower)

Cons:

Put in a room directly facing the restaurant extractor fans which stank and made it unbearable to sit on the balcony or dry anything out there due to the smell. Moved rooms but still the stench was disgusting. Was down to stay for three nights checked out after one due to this! Shame as the views are amazing from the balcony’s but not when a stench of grease / fat is blowing in your direction from breakfast - late! No manager on front desk, lone workers which isn’t ideal for customers or themselves when wanting to discuss issues.

Cons:

I’ve been staying at this hotel for the past five years whenever I’m in town visiting family, and it has always been a go-to because of its great location and consistently friendly customer service.

Unfortunately, my most recent stay did not meet the standard I’ve come to expect. When I arrived, the shower had hair in the tub from a previous guest, which was disappointing. I also had difficulty adjusting the A/C—the thermostat only responded when I applied pressure. The remote control felt sticky, several lights in the room were not working, and the room phone wasn’t even plugged in.

Normally, I would have reached out to the front desk, but I checked in late after a long day and didn’t have the energy to switch rooms or deal with the inconvenience at that time.

I still genuinely like this hotel and plan to continue staying here, but I do believe it may be time for some updates. Renovations such as replacing the carpets and upgrading room features would make a big difference in the overall guest experience.

I’m hopeful that improvements will be made, as I would love to continue returning for years to come.

The balcony and view are standout here.
Pros:

This was the only hotel with a balcony on our trip, and it was beautiful overlooking the river facing south. Quiet location just across the river from the downtown city and sights, so the view out the window at night over the river toward the city was pretty spectacular. The room was spacious, the carpet thick and luxurious, and the bathroom nice and large with plenty of places to put things. If we return to Ft. Myers, we'd definitely consider staying here again.

Cons:

It's an older motel and showing some of its age, and it's too bad the neighborhood is tired as well. We didn't eat breakfast downstairs, because the outside door into the kitchen was noticeably misshapen; but our fave breakfast place, Skillets, was right en route to our planned activities south of Ft. Myers. No vent fan in the bathroom.

Good value for the location & view
Pros:

Great view, good location near downtown, nice, safe balcony, they let us check in early, nice dock to walk on, nice to have a restaurant near the pool to get lunch & drinks
