Very enjoyable stay
Pros:

The room was spacious and comfortable with all amenities.

Cons:

We did attend breakfast on the first morning but unfortunately the service was really poor, with staff taking orders from newcomers who just wandered in without being checked. We had already been seated along with another couple, and we had to wait until we could attract the staff's attention, who then seemed put out!

Room was quite clean and breakfast nice enough , good location with a convenient parking lot underneath . Staff were helpful and cheery

Cons:

The hotel seemed a bit worn out.
Outside by the gardens looked in need of attention and updating
Public areas needed some re organisation.in terms of furniture
Too much Alfa Hotel printed collateral in all areas looked cheap .
Breakfast sitting was full so had to go back twice but was good at the end.
Coffee was a bit weak though
The room was quite clean and a nice bathroom, but dirty marks all over all painted surfaces and doors etc.

Place needs a good general clean in corners and edges and paint re fresh throughout
Poor in room lighting , except by the bed

Won’t be staying again
Pros:

The outside of the building looks nice

Cons:

Bed is uncomfortable has lumps, there is dust everywhere, the pool has broken tiles to which cut my foot and the only thing staff was worried about was using my towel to cover the blood up and was made to walk a different direction back to my room so no one saw me, I think for a 4 star hotel it needs a lot of work ie rooms updated and new mattresses, cleaning, fix the pool from broken tiles, the morning breakfast instead of staff getting rude because you have asked to pay for two days and was told no we don’t do that which is fine but being rude is a no.. I won’t be staying here again the whole experience was a shamble from the start to finish.

A good relaxing stay with plenty of lounge space and outside space.
Pros:

Room was a good size with 2chairs and was quiet.
Staff in breakfast were very friendly and helpful.
Outside space and garden was very welcome in the warm weather.
Location was within easy walk to town centre shops and park.

Perfect. A great hotel, great staff, perfect location, great sleep.
Pros:

Lovely clean well equipped and so quiet at night considering it was right in the town centre. Staff were outstanding and so pleasant and helpful.

THE Golden Girls from Warrington
Pros:

I spent 4 nights at the hotel as part of a organised coach holiday. Although the hotel is typical of large hotels of this era and is a little tired. However the management and young staff were beyond exceptional. I have stayed in 5* hotels and have not had the level of service and attention to detail throughout our stay. Keep up the good work, many thanks to you all

Swimming pool, staff, felt like home. Parking, position of hotel

Cons:

BREAKFAST ONLY UNTIL 8.30AM!!!!!! Check in only after 4!! Seems like the hotel is trying to make money by hoping people there will sleep in so wont make it downstairs. Car park now public so no guarantee of a space. Coffee in the rooms sadly the worst I've every had anywhere. We love the hotel and stayed many times but its so gone downhill

Pros:

The hotel was very nice and clean. My room was very nice. It was spacious and the location was brilliant as it was quiet. Even the garden at the rear of the hotel was lovely to sit out in, in the evening. Craig the manager was very friendly and helpful. The staff were friendly too. Would recommend this hotel.

Pros:

I'll definitely be returning because everything was perfect for me during my stay the first week in July 2026.
It's a lovely hotel and the rooms are well equipped, spotless and the mattress was fabulous and I slept well.
I used the leisure facilities twice and thoroughly enjoyed the spa and pool.
The hotel is in a nice area within a short walk to the lovely gardens, beach and shops.
Finally the food was good and the staff were very nice.
Hello to Craig and congratulations on acquiring the post of manager of Norfolk royale.
I'd met him before and find him extremely pleasant and professional.
Well done to all the team. Thankyou for everything.
