One night at Marinella hotel Sofia
Pros:

I have only one night in Marinella this time.Traveling from Australia and meeting friend from Sweden at the hotel.My communication before the check in with the reservation desk and the reception was exellent. The check in smooth and pleasant, and the receptionist so understandable, made make stay very enjoyable. The rooms updated ,great ambience and stay.Breakfast very abundant and good service .

I didn't like that for the third time in a month they greeted me with the words that they were upgrading my room at the hotel's expense, but they always put me in a similar room :( In addition, the air conditioners are turned off to save money and it's either too cold or too warm in the rooms. Apparently, a renovation was done at some point, but instead of fixing what was needed, crazy money was spent on branding everything that comes before your eyes. Even the original stone flooring in the main lobby has been replaced with new black and white flooring, with the floor raised 10 cm and the possibility of spraining your leg like what happened to my wife.

Μία πολύ ωραία διαμονή. το ξενοδοχείο διαθέτει πολύ ωραίους κοινόχρηστους χώρους και μία πολύ όμορφη αυλή για τον πρωινό σας καφέ. Πολύ καλή εξυπηρέτηση απο το προσωπικό του ξενοδοχείου με επαγγελματισμό.

Όλα ήταν υπέροχα. θα μπορούσε η χρέωση του πάρκινγκ για αυτούς που μένουν στο ξενοδοχείο να είναι λίγο χαμηλότερη.

Terrible, my room was dirty and not cleaned at all throughout my whole stay

Cons:

Horrible experience from 2 people from staff - one at the Gentleman’s Club, the other in the lobby area. When I asked for direction the person working at Gentleman’s Club didn’t provide direction for where I needed to go to reception but responded in a petty way, asking a question “Does this look like a reception to you?”. The other person I asked where the SPA area was located and he started explaining but midway of his explanation his phone rang and he forgot I was a guest and just picked up the phone instead of carrying on with providing directions. NEXT - the room was so DIRTY, there was literally string of hair in the coffee cup and so much dust everywhere. For a 5 star hotel you would think cleaning of the rooms should be done to the highest standards but it wasn’t. The shower - really poor pressure. No hair conditioner provided. The hair dryer - if you stay in the same room 1528, please bring your own hair dryer, the hair dryer in the room is good for NOTHING. Works 30 seconds and needs to switch off to cool off. 2 phones - 1 of them in the rooms, 1 in the bathroom - THEY DO NOT WORK. I wanted to order room service but couldn’t do it due to no phones working. Window opens up widely, 15th floor room, you would think there must be safety on the windows to prevent wide opening but maybe provide semi-opening. I won’t be back as a guest of the hotel due to this bad experience, but the restaurants in the hotel complex were actually nice. So, I would be back in the restaurants and clubs there but not sleeping over anymore.
