The room was not your typical "cookie cutter" room. I had the charm of early days of travel.
Because of the time that it was built the parking garage only accommodates small vehicles. Not really an issue.
We stayed in one of their cabins and it was nice to walk out the door and be outside. The room was large and everything was very clean.
The shampoo and soap dispenser in the shower was empty.

The Motel was well located in walking distance to the centre and shuttle bus to Pikes Peak
The motel had a limited breakfast offer, so chose to have breakfast off site.
Location and pool
We had one of the cabins. It did not have a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. The rooms that are part of the main motel included these items. When I booked the rooms I didn’t realize there was a difference

The location is what make this a great choice! You can walk to up and down the street to shops, restaurants, bars and almost all the Springs. (Even the walk to the cog railway station is do-able from here)
Bathrooms are small in these older buildings but were well-appointed and I liked the "split" so we could both get ready at the same time. A nightlight would be a good addition (I always bring one when I travel).

The location was great with the free Manitou Shuttle stop right outside the door for those with some mobility issues.
For those who wish to walk, everything was within distance - and a lovely town to walk in.
The staff were great, so friendly and helpful - they really do treat you like old friends.
The hot tub wasn't very bubbly - although it was lovely to sit in.
I would also appreciate more options for breakfast - something hot and perhaps cereal. But, it is very clear on booking that this is not available and I am not sure where they would put it anyhow.
