Best Western John Muir Inn

There was no outdoor sitting space except for around the pool. There were loud kids and guests in the hallways late at night. The halls and public spaces were not that clean.

Need more counter space in bathroom. Would be nice to have a shuttle

Expensive, pool was dirt, hot tub didn’t work, ice maker didn’t work, housekeeping literally came in my room when I was there.

We stay here for the full weekend twice a month, for the past few months. You can imagine how familiar with the rooms we are. This time, our AC unit wasn't working properly. it was slightly cold, but not blowing air like it should, and after 4 hous in the room, it still wasn't cold and it was 95 outside and hot inside the room. we told the front desk, and she said maintenance would come look at it. When he finally comes, he came in with a roll of painters tape, puts his hand to the unit and says "it's cold" and says there's nothing he can do and leaves. does literally nothing to it. when I went to ask the front desk about it again, to my surprise the maintenance man and front desk lady (who I had never seen before) were talking bad about us right in front of another guest. VERY unprofessional. When I ask if there's anything that could be done, even just the repair man to come back out and look at it because he didn't do anything to it, she said "no" and that our only option was to check out completely and they can put the room under "out of order" while they get it fixed. no other solution was offered. I even asked "so to clarify, the only option you're giving me is to leave." and she said yes. slightly appalling, seeing as we spend 6 to 7 days a month here, every month. We ended up taking the face of the unit off ourself and getting the air to blow out how it was supposed to. Usually, I have nothing but good things to say about this location, but this was really offputting and makes us question whether or not we will return.

This is the third time I have stayed at your hotel, because there is a hot tub. All THREE times I was told the hot tub was out of service once I arrived. Had I known the hot tub didn't work, I would have made other reservations elsewhere for the price. I am very disappointed with you advertising the hot tub, but clearly not fixing it for guests to enjoy.

Only thing toilet paper was not stocked . Had 2 rolls but they were half used

Our air conditioner was broke, so hot.
They finally moved us to a new room which the bed a a huge dip in it, ice machine was broke, people were very loud, and the pool was gross

There weren’t any major issues during our stay. If I had one suggestion, it would be to update a few areas of the hotel to make them feel a little more modern. Otherwise, everything met our expectations.

The elevator was a little slow and creaky
