Run by a very sweet husband and wife. Great service and amazing food. We especially loved having dinner here and listening to stories from the owners.
Amazing stay in this lovely residence. Just charming.
It's like driving into a little paradise with 7 acres of all sorts of mature trees. When you step out of the car the piece and quiet stands out
Very calm Location in the heart of beautiful nature
Ross Lake House is a charming guest house in the countryside north of the bustling Galway. We enjoyed our stay, particularly the evening cocktails in the small room off the parlor and a really, really delicious dinner. Our suite was very spacious, which is great for a family traveling together. The furnishings are a bit dated and there is not much to do without driving, however, we found it to be an excellent value and enjoyed talking with the very friendly and gracious proprietors and strolling the grounds. If you’re looking for something off the beaten path with charm and character, this is a great choice.
Our stay was amazing and we truly enjoyed the time we spent with Henry in the library/bar. I can still smell the scent of lavender & roses on our bed linens, so lovely!! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The wait staff even filled our travel mugs on our way out. the rooms we had were picture perfect. Thank you, Thank you!!!
The setting was lovely and the property was charming. We had had a hard couple days of hiking before we got here so it was just a lovely oasis to rest and recover. Wish we had stayed another day!
Lovely setting . Wonderful host . Place spotless . Will certainly stay here again
Great hosts, very friendly and an excellent stay. Would definitely return in the future.
Peaceful and quiet. Great staff to cater to all needs. A little bit like a Downton Abbey.
Exactly what we hoped the Hotel would be, Henry was super funny and taught me about Hurling and I was actually able to follow along with the game, Joe the dining room caretaker was a open and honest and they both had great stories to tell. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and the shower had good enough pressure. Food was delicious everyday. I would definitely stay again if ever in Ireland.
A beautiful spot with lovely ambiance and wonderful proprietors.
Wonderful stay. The hospitality was excellent. The food and service in the dining room was top notch. Room amd grounds were beautiful.
a bit out of the way but very nice property, bathroom fan very loud ,food very nice, overall very nice !
lovely relaxing place to stay in with great hosts providing excellent food in a convivial atmosphere
Incredibly rude and arrogant staff. If this was the last place left to stay on earth, I'd pitch a tent!
This is a lovely, welcoming, place. Tastefully decorated. Owners and staff were charming and accommodating. Dinners were very good.
I was sightseeing in Connemara and needed a place before heading down to County Clare. This place was perfect to rest and relax before the following day. Quiet, peaceful grounds. Wonderful hosts. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. This is not an exciting location for kids. The average age of the guests is 40+.
The beds were quite small. There were two singles set side to side. I'm 6-3 and was hanging off most of the night. The bathroom was small, but then not as bad as my hotel in Zurich...
Beautiful, posh room with comfortable bed and pillows. Loved the bath towels that were big as blankets and wonderful! Beautiful location with waterfall along road coming in. Close to Oughterard which is a beautiful town. So much to see and do!
Restaurant uninspiring. Hotel remote from other eateries so if you don't want to drive ( low drink drive limit in Ireland) it has a captive market. Overpriced for what it offers.
