The property has real charm with all original features. The food is gorgeous and the staff are lovely
The rooms are quite dated and need updating.
Staff were very friendly. The big cosy fire and comfy couches were very inviting. There was plenty of parking. The bedroom was tastefully decorated. I was very pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem
Nothing.
good was really good.. the rooms were very nice
nothing
Nice location, nice building. Breakfast was in a pleasant room - tablecloths present.
We liked the generous bottles of water in our room.
Room was acceptable but not as “ luxury “as advertised. There were cracked tiles in bathroom , a hot tap that couldn’t be turned off and only one spare pillow for the king bed.
No dining room. Had to eat our dinner in the bar where the table setting was a knife and fork on a paper serviette on a bar table.
Very perfunctory. Was expecting a good selective menu but only offered mainly bar food e.g hamburger, fish and chips, steak.
Wine I chose by the glass was poor quality - Sauv blanc and Malbec the same room temperature.
.Quite expensive for food I would expect to pay far less for at my local pub. The hotel’s website describes dining in a designated dining room.
Very disappointing experience.
Great location
Ok
The location was good, very close to Mallow. Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. We arrived early & the room was ready. Lovely breakfast served in the dining room, fabulous homemade brown bread. Highly recommend this accommodation
We attended a wedding in Springfort. The outdoor space and the function room are lovely. The food (soup & starter) were amazing. The main was fine.
There was no space in the main (quite small) breakfast room. We were told to go into the bar for breakfast. The juice cartons were spilt all over a table. There was 15 tables with one waitress and another behind the bar serving tea/coffee. It took about 15 mins to order and the food was precooked so quite dry at that point. The bathroom door in our room would not close properly which was fine as it was just my husband & I but there was a bad smell of disinfectant coming from the bathroom all the time.
The atmosphere. The friendly staff.
The cleinliness.
TheGuinness.i switched to Murphys.
I'm a Guinness drinker...
The signage at the entrance is poor.Your at the entrance before you realize it . That definitely needs attention.
I’m so glad we chose to stay at night at the Springfort Hall hotel because it was so friendly and welcoming. Despite a large party arriving at the same time as us and a wedding being hosted on the day we left, we were able to check in and out efficiently and with care. We were surprised to be staying in the lodges outside but they were very clean and warm and comfortable, actually a total treat. It was perfect for family and the dog, we felt very safe in the walled garden area and we had so much space. It’s also very quiet and beautiful being in the middle of the countryside. The facilities are excellent, the house is gorgeous, love the antique interior which is in such good condition, wonderful decor, sumptuous colour schemes. We enjoyed tasty excellent dinner in the bar area with our dog being the happy recipient of a dog bowl for good behaviour as he sat quietly under the table with us. Breakfast was wonderful - more of the friendly almost family atmosphere in the beautiful high ceilinged dining room. Overall, Springfort felt like a welcoming hug to Ireland in beautiful surroundings. It’s run like a family and the staff seem to be very hardworking and friendly.
Our booking through booking.com didn’t warn us that we wouldn’t be inside the hotel building so it might be a consideration that others might want to be staying inside the main building.
Beautiful grounds . Comfortable bed. Lovely staff
