Nothing positive to report on
The advertised ‘breakfast’ was a few bagels and a small selection of sugary cereals When I asked for cereal from an empty bin, I was told, ‘I forgot to get more’.
The location is very convenient and the area is super nice, however the cleanliness is subpar. The room smelled like a dusty dog when we walked in so we had to shut off the air conditioner and open the window. We could not use it the entire stay because it made the room smell terrible. There were some sort of stains on the sofa and chair in the room, possibly chocolate - well hopefully. The shower did not drain properly so you stood in ankle deep water until you were done. We thankfully had sleeping bags and did not have to use the blankets, we just slept on top of them. It seemed like the person running the front desk also lived there with his family which was a bit strange. There were no other hotels in the area so we didn't complain but it's definitely not somewhere we would stay again and we're not boujee type of people but this was pushing it for us. It also smelled like cigarette, dog, and mild whiffs of marijuana in the hallway although the rooms were non smoking rooms. Just something to keep in mind if you have allergies or small kids.
We filed an official complaint with Choice Hotels. My husband & I checked into the room and it was completely disgusting and smelled of mold or something of the like. I opened the window and left for half hour or so. We came back, but it still smelled horrible so I told the clerk we would not be staying there. One of the managers said, "I told so and so not to cook in there last week." Um, there's no stove so what was he cooking? On top of that there were shady people everywhere. Some were partying in a van in the parking lot and more partying out back (WITH the 2 MANAGERS and the front desk clerk). While speaking to one of the managers, one person ran through the lobby screaming the grill out back was on fire! I did not feel safe, and after explaining to the managers that I could not stay there, the GM spoke to me (with his feet on the desk) and was extremely rude stating, "he would not refund my money." He offered to put me in another room but at that point I said no because it was not a safe environment and booked another room in a neighboring town. Do not stay here! The pics online is not what the rooms are like!
Big event weekend so they were full. No place to move to.
Refrigerator did not work.
Room smelled like a dead body. I had to buy and use most of a can of Fabreeze.
Excellent bed and hot water. Good/friendly staff.
Neat & clean!
Fine
Comfortable stay!
When we check in the Guy was smoking outside and when he came inside he was very unprofessional. We checked into our room and it smelled like dead fish. We asked to change rooms and he seemed bothered but gave us another room which smelled better than the first but not good. The bathroom door and ac unit were broken. Breakfast had no waffle maker as advertised. Needless to say we checked out the next morning immediately. They refused to give us a refund for the next two nights but we needed to get out of there ASAP!
It was not clean. The room smelled and was outdated.
Mattress was too soft...pillows way too soft.
Need to update website with breakfast choices and times. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Very pleasant, large rooms, easy access for handicap.
it was convenient for our needs and the staff was pleasant.
The price was reasonable.
The room furnishings were old and worn and the paint was
applied to doors and walls in a sloppy manner.
Beautiful setting. Very friendly staff. Great location for what we intended to do for the weekend.
No breakfast
Beds weren’t as comfortable as desired, but everything else was respectable. Staff was good and helpful
One of the rooms wasn’t cleaned before we got there with one of the beds slept in. They did switch the room for us.
The blow dryer didn’t work in the other room and was broken.
The lobby was minimal, front desk person was not friendly, the building is old but adequate. The room was dated and the bathtub was stained very bad. The room door was very hard to open and close. The side and rear entrance doors were never locked. Breakfast the first morning was a bagel, cereal and coffee. The juice machine was out of order. The second morning there was NO breakfast at all, just coffee. We rang the bell and after several minutes, the very disheveled staff member came out of a back room and told us that he didn't know why there was no breakfast, that there was nothing for him to put out. We have other trips coming up for that area and will NOT stay at this hotel again.
First, the few issues. Breakfast is only OJ, a few bagels, cream cheese, butter, dried cereal, bananas, and coffee. No yogurt, pastries, eggs, or much fruit. Such an easy thing to fix. The multiple threats around the pantry to not steal or video will be turned over to the police for prosecution is offensive to paying guests. There has to be a better way. The place is a bit dated and needs a refresh. The TV remotes were difficult to work from a distance. Ten of the parking spots are reserved as EV charging stations. They were all empty, but signs warned that non EV vehicles parked there would be towed AOE. Since they are available for non-guests, paying guests seem not to be the top priority. There are many positives, and they out balance the annoying but minor issues. The people are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and properly supplied. They are spacious and comfortable for sleeping. The location is good for exploring and shopping. I would certainly stay here again because all the essentials are done well.
The $100. Price for a room was ridiculous considering there was no exercise room or pool. We didn't stay for breakfast because we were told the continental breakfast consists of bagels and cereal. The room was clean at least.
