Maravida Boutique Hotel & Resort

Os funcionários eram super atenciosos e prestativos. Tivemos um problema com a reserva de uns amigos e eles resolveram com muito boa vontade. A localização é boa. Praticamente na praia. Um bom café da manhã. O quarto que ficamos era bom. Só senti falta de uma varanda ou janela com vista para fora do hotel.

The hotel is more like a resort with a swim up bar. Although the hotel is connected to the Crazy Monkey Bar that has nightly shows on the weekends, some might consider this a noisy inconvenience; however, the shows are executed exceptionally. And Friday night is really the only time the music goes to 1:30am; and it is unnoticeable when you have your doors shut. But if you are into dancing, and like a welcoming safe atmosphere close to the beach with great food, this place is for you. Shout out to Marie-Cruz, Justin "Not Beiber", and Fofo... and all the bar staff. Everyone was amazing.

I love how close it was to the beach, the room was nice. Nicole cleaned my room every day, and she was fantastic, friendly and cooperative with all of my request., the pool and bar area are beautiful, the fitness center was below average it could use some attention, they kept the place very clean. That’s important to me when I stay somewhere.

Beautiful property. Breakfast was amazing. They supply snorkel gear and boogie boards for free plus discounts on surfing lessons.

Ive stayed here twice before when it was the best western, i wish it had stayed the best western. The people working reception must’ve been homeless before hand or never worked in hospitality before, any questions i had was met with, all i can describe as an oblivious pura vida vibe without any actual concern for whats going on in their hotel. If i had a question about anything I would go to the front desk and get a look like as if i was asking a random person on the street.. My first room had an enormous Iguana living in the ceiling and was relentlessly trying to escape through the recess lights. When i confronted the front desk they did not care at all and actually laughed and said, well they’re harmless…. Yeah they are but i dont need one crawling around my room as i sleep, especially 2ft long.! So after 2 days of living with that i did get a new room. Could not sleep on the weekend days because theres a huge party at night with multiple dj’s until 2:30 am. The people who bought this hotel after the best western must’ve have been club promoters or something, they definitely care more about getting people off the street to come party than their actual patrons of the hotel. All in all, the staff was really nice but you will get a nice staff anywhere in costa rica especially tamarindo. The people are really genuine, friendly, and gracious, with a certain kind of enthusiasm to share their culture and what their hometown has to offer. Long story short, if want to sleep next to studio 54 and party like your 22 stay here. If you want a relaxing weekend dont stay here because i think its ran by people who want to be pit bull or something. Thats my rant at 11:30 pm while currently the loudest club music plays relentlessly through my walls and drunk people are screaming outside my door. This is a self described “party hotel” by the receptionist. So if that what you’re looking for, this is your spot. If not, explore different options.. was not warned about this until i paid and checked in…
