Beautiful room, all amenities, lovely breakfast and breakfast area
Bottled water is charged for at breakfast. As one is already paying a heftly price for the hotel, this petty charge is annoying - why not just have a water fountain with glasses? Bottled water in little plastic bottles is also not expected at a 4 star establishment - glass water bottles that can be refilled is much more progressive.
The Winchester is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful courtyard, a great location, an excellent team, very attentive service and an outstanding breakfast.
The description on Booking.com did not entirely match the hotel’s actual room categories. We were initially allocated Room 105, which had a sea view but was located directly above the entrance and therefore very close to the road. It was not a courtyard-facing room as described on Booking.com; the courtyard rooms actually belong to different room categories.
That said, the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For our second night, they moved us to a room that matched the advertised features, including a bathtub. It was still on the street side, but as it was on the third floor, it was significantly quieter.
Many thanks to the team for handling the situation so kindly and finding a much better solution for us.

Exaggerated price for mediocre experience:
- over 300euros/night but water not complimentary (nor in the room, nor at breakfast)
- average breakfast in a freezing room
- advertised as beach location, but it is just overviewing (by little) the ocean
- vanity kit at arrival was the one used by precedent customers,
- vanity kit was not replaced at the room service
- gym closed
- pool of little size and no view
We loved the location. Amazing breakfast. A very unexpected and pleasant surprise was a free of charge pick up from restaurant after dusk by the hotel car.

Everything was fantastic.
Très bien situé dans le quartier de sea point sur le front de mer. La bâtisse est très belle avec un magnifique patio et la cuisine est excellente.
Nous pensions que la junior avait un coin salon à part pour notre fils mais en fait tout est dans la même pièce. Le contenu du mini bar est disponible sur demande seulement et au départ nous n’avions pas de bouteille d’eau dans la chambre. Bref l’endroit est super mais le service pourrait être amélioré
