Excellent budget-friendly option that covers all essentials for a fair price
Pros:

The one-bedroom suite is spacious for two people and feels very fresh thanks to the wooden floors, which eliminate that typical "musty carpet" smell. The room was clean and well-organized upon arrival. Chromecast on tv allowed us to connect to our own streaming services. Two tv's available: one in living room, the other in bedroom. Having a kitchen is a great touch for travelers looking to cook simple meals; the stove and basic kitchenware are very thoughtful additions. The bathroom is simple but adequate for basic needs.

A welcoming end to a long day of travel!
Pros:

We arrived later than expected due to our ferry being delayed and were checked in swiftly and were able to get settled very quickly. The staff member who checked us in was very helpful 🏆and accommodating! I wish I had got his name 😔as he definitely deserved a mention. Beds were very comfortable and room lovely and clean with all the required amenities. A very welcoming end to a long day of travels. Parking was on site and the hotel easy to find.

Good of season deal
Pros:

Great location, lots of parking, fast check in and out. Room had everything we needed.

Cons:

Since the rooms had kitchens, there was a food smell in the hallway at dinner time.

Pleasant Stay at the Red Lion
Pros:

I have stayed here before and found it to be quite clean and comfortable. This time was no exception. The major stores are close by as well as the bus transportation.

Cons:

My room, 407, was plagued by traffic noise from Douglas Street until 10:00 PM. The window was not double-glazed, which would have cut down on the street noise. The rooms at the back are quieter.

Victoria weekend getaway
Pros:

Location is great to what I needed

Great price, great facilities, comfortable, clean, highly recommend!
Pros:

Friendly staff, modern decor, well-equipped room (little kitchenette in the room which I did not expect).
Very clean, lots of lighting options, bed was comfy, price was incredibly affordable for the quality.

Cons:

Beds were only doubles (not queens) but we did opt for the cheapest rooms so perhaps other double rooms have queens.
Door to the hallway wasn't very soundproof (could hear people going past in the hall) but otherwise the room seemed to be very soundproof.

Clean, comfortable, good location, good value, great customer service.
Pros:

Everything about the room was great. It was convenient to have dishes and cutlery in the room along with the fridge and microwave. The big TV was super! Everything was clean and comfortable and the orange and green doors were a nice splash of colour. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional.

Cons:

The parking lot spaces were mostly marked for ‘small cars’ and it was hard to get a space. We have an accessible parking permit and there is only one designated spot out front. But the staff accommodated our needs by allowing us to stay in a check in spot instead.

Great stay on a budget!
Pros:

Close to the bus I needed to get to UVIC for an event. A lot of useful things around it. I got a cheap room, so the location wasn't great but I get what I pay for. The room was still clean, bed comfortable and staff at front desk were so nice. I had a kitchenette that was well stocked and the fridge was pretty big!
