Good location
I went down to pickup my toothpaste late at night (they wouldn’t bring it to my room). To do this quickly I put a hoodie on and wrapped a towel around waist (securely wrapped also had pants underneath anyway). Got told off by this random guy in a really scary way - he goes “YOU CANT DO THAT” and when I immediately apologised he goes “NO SIR YOU CANT DO THAT”. He was a big guy and it was honestly really scary - I apologised immediately and realised he just didn’t let it go
The hotel is located right in the heart of the city. We were across the street from the Cleveland Guardians stadium and were able to walk to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in about 20 minutes. Mind you, it is 20 minutes downhill to the HOF, so 20 minutes UPHILL on the way back :) We passed Browns Stadium on the way. From the HOF, we moved a little further down to a tequila bar with a beautiful view of Lake Erie. There were no ball games being played the days we were there so the city was a bit quiet but we walked across the street to Whistle Taproom and Venue for pizza and drinks. They have a beer wall full of self pour beers, wines, ciders and mojitos/margaritas which was fun. Hotel staff was amazing and allowed us to check in early which was much appreciated after a long ride.
There was construction going on in the hotel which shut down a couple of elevators. There were times when we had to wait for the elevator which was really no big deal. There is also no parking lot. You can pay $50.00 for valet parking, or pay to park in the lot across the street. We were only staying one night so parked across the street which cost $31.50 for the night. Not hotel related but we stopped at CVS a few blocks away and were greeted at the door by an armed guard so we made sure to get back to the hotel before dark. Relatable to any big city :(

Room was next to noisy elevator
One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had and completely inconsistent with what I expected from an IHG property.
Issues experienced during our stay:
• Visibly soiled mattress, bloody and yellow stained sheets - absolutely disgusting
• Confirmed King + sleeper sofa room was not honoured despite arriving before check-in
• Told our booked room was now unavailable and a rollaway bed would have to work instead of the sleeper sofa (for a guest who is 6’5”)
• Hotel renovations were not properly disclosed prior to arrival
• Elevators stopped working during our stay and we were required to walk 6 flights of stairs multiple times
• Despite someone in our group having a knee injury, we were unwillingly kept on the same floor and not moved to a lower floor
• We spent approximately 45 minutes circling the hotel just to access valet because cars were not being cleared efficiently
• Returned at 1:30 AM to find the rollaway left unassembled outside our room
• Mattress was visibly dirty and stained, including a large red stain
• First sheets had blood and yellow stains• Replacement sheets were also visibly stained• Small bugs present in the room
• Over 1 hour wait to retrieve our vehicle the next day
• Poor communication and service throughout
The cleanliness issues were the most concerning. Receiving multiple sets of visibly stained bedding and being expected to sleep on a heavily soiled rollaway bed is unacceptable and does not align with the standards IHG promotes.
I requested a refund while at the hotel but received no meaningful resolution. Covering valet and issuing 5,000 IHG points may address part of the parking inconvenience, but it does nothing to address the sanitation concerns and overall experience.
Since checkout, the hotel has been largely unresponsive and emails to the General Manager have gone unanswered.
Overall, this stay fell well below basic hospitality, cleanliness, accessibility, and guest service expectations.
Left feeling absolutely disgusted with the property and the health concerns left right and centre - and nobody communicates back now that we’ve checked out from the hotel.
We stayed at this property for two days. We came up to watch the Reds play in Cleveland. I cannot say enough about Julia at the front desk as well as Mackenzie at the front desk. We had a minor issue and they made sure that the issue was taken care of and we were satisfied. I can’t say enough great about this property. We will definitely be back!!
