Had an amazing dining experience together with my family, service went smoothly, bartenders knew their stuff. The dishes were a 10/10, especially the lamb. The dish was well put together and the honeyglaze on top made the dish stand out. Chicken was really tasty too. We forgot to order fries when we ordered our food, so we asked for them when the food arrived, luckily the fries were on the table in 3 minutes, overall really happy with the experience!
The property had retained its character and was complimented by the accommodation and bar areas. Beautiful gardens!
Location
Nothing
Very Confortable
Unclear where Breakfast was being held.
We had a lovely stay . I really enjoy the bar area. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again. The kids loved the cookies sent to the room 😍
The room, breakfast and bar
It is pricey but what you get is amazing
Stunning grounds, gorgeous building!
all good. breakfast very expensive
We enjoyed the opportunity to see more of Dublin during our 3 days by staying at this wonderful hotel! All of the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food is wonderful and our accommodation was superb!
The location is quiet and outside the busy city but easy to get around with the abundance of taxis and uber.
The hotel gardens are breathtaking and we enjoyed the view on them from our room. The main hotel building (the old castle-like part where the reception is) is also very beautiful.
Regarding the service, everything was well cleaned and most of the hotel staff was very friendly.
Unfortunately, some things is the rooms really do need a renovation. In our room there were the following issues:
1. The heating/ac unit was not working properly and it was very loud when it did work. The thermostat was showing wrong temperatures and could not be really used.
2. The mini fridge did not work at all. We had to keep stuff for cooling in the car.
3. The main room door didn't always close well, i.e. one thinks they closed the door while in fact they remained open.
4. The bathtub urgently needs to be replaced. It is not comfortable neither for bathing (far too shallow) nor for showering (very narrow and with a sticky curtain instead of a glass shield) - in short, very far from a 5 star experience.
5. The rest of the bathroom was functional but could use an update too.
Regarding the breakfast. it was ok but not spectacular. Also, the choice of food was exactly the same all days with zero variation or innovation.
