Great stay with a lovely upgrade and views
Pros:

We had a really enjoyable stay at Hotel St Moritz Queenstown

Our room was excellent, and we were fortunate to receive an upgrade thanks to ALL Platinum that made the stay feel extra special. The lake views were a real highlight, hard to beat waking up to that in Queenstown.

Breakfast was also very good, with a solid range and quality to match.

Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would happily return.

Beautiful hotel with great design and views
Pros:

We had the best experience from the moment we stepped foot in St Moritz Queenstown. Beautifully appointed lobby that reminds us of Swiss Alps resorts and the front desk personnel greeted us warmly and professionally upon our check in. We were staying in the 2 bedroom apartment on the 6th floor and what a beautiful room it was. It was cozy, luxurious and the beds were amazingly comfortable, it was definitely a welcomed respite from our long drive from Ashburton. My boys loved the pillow menu and fell asleep straight away using the lavender pillows. We stayed over the Easter long weekend and the boys were so happy to have Easter Bunny visiting in the middle of the night to drop off some chocolate eggs. The view from the Lombardi hotel was just stunning overlooking Lake Wakatipu, can I just say that Summer the barista makes a mean coffee! We are from Melbourne, Australia, and we are very picky about our coffee but hers definitely hits the spot!

The only issue we had was that the shower ceiling height is very low and my husband had to lean back to use the shower, as his head hits the ceiling when he is showering (as the ceiling is sloped down in the shower area), but he is 194 cm tall so a bit taller than the average person. Apart from that, we could not fault anything!

Such an amazing place to stay and we look forward to staying at St Moritz Queenstown again in the near future. A big shout out to Gaby from the reservation team for going above and beyond in assisting us with our reservation mishap. Gaby, you are the best and St Moritz is very lucky to have you in their team! I am sad that I didn’t get to see you in person when we were there, but hopefully next time!

Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Pros:

Excellent staff (including the cleaning staff), handy location, easy parking with valet service, guest laundry facilities

Cons:

Room and hallways were dimly lit - could do with abit of brightening up. Hallways also needed a good vacuum.

Very dissapointing and will never stay there again in Queenstown.
Pros:

Nothing!

Cons:

We will never recoment this hotel to anyone who is travelling to Queenstown. We had the worse room in a hotel which has the worse loaction ( up a 100m steep inclune) in any city that we have stayed in throughout the workd.

Fine Hotel (4+ but not 5 stars); Up the Hill and a bit of a walk from Town.
Pros:

The hotel is every nice but I would not say it’s a 5 star. It just did not have everything perfect and was nothing special or luxurious that warrants a 5 star category ( A strong 4 star or 4 star plus)

Our room was fairly large and had a comfortable bed.

Front desk service was top notch.

Bathroom was ok (see dislikes) and the hot water came fairly fast to the shower.

Everything was clean and in fairly good shape.
WiFi worked fine.

Parking is available below the building, for a fee (we paid NZ40 but I heard someone else checking out at a lower rate). The parking was pretty full, with stack parking (parking in the aisles blocking other cars).

Breakfast buffet was typical and plenty to choose from, but I didn’t see any pastries however.

Website photos are a fair representation of the hotel.

Overall, it was a nice place to stay, not really luxury so the value for the price is off, and with the trek up the hill to get to and from town, and the plugs and small bathroom counter, I would probably look elsewhere next time.

Cons:

Our room was on the top floor, which meant the elevator did not go that far so we had to get off on the floor below and then climb the stair case (from desk said it was a small staircase...but it was a full flight. I carried my bags up and down the stairs ...I am a senior, and yes, i could have asked and likely waited for help...but we got to town around 2:30 and wanted to drop our stuff off, change, and run to catch lunch.

The bathroom was a tad small, and not enough counter space (I had to use the little bar area above the mini bar for my toiletries while my wife used the bathroom sink counter).

Another issue for me is failure to modernize the room with plugs next to the desk and next to each nightstand. That’s right, no plug near the desk (unless you consider about 12 feet away close) ..have they heard of people having laptops?

Also, only one nightstand had plugs and the other did not . Today we all have lots of gadgets to charge each night. Phones, Ipad, kindle, watch , etc. so typically for us...3 items each (plus the laptop). The plug on the right hand side of the bed was actually behind the bed a little to the right of center. I always bring an extension cord and a multi plug adapter...so I pulled the bed out, plugged in the extension cord, pushed the bed back, and was able to get power at my nightstand. But since I don’t bring two extension cords, I did not have power at the desk for my laptop (I was not going to move the bed every time I needed to use my laptop). So I used it on battery till it ran out, then charged etc.
