Hotel Maubeuge Gare du Nord

My fiancee and I needed a room to stay in since we missed our flight. This was responsible and at a great location (near Gard du Nord train station). That's pretty much the only positive thing I have to say. The room smelled of cigarettes, and to make matters worse I woke up to bite marks down my leg! So definitely beware.

I doubt anyone from Expedia has visited this place. The photos are totally misleading.

Tiny bathroom. If you are more than 5 feet tall you will probably not be able to sit on the toilet the space is so cramped.

We stayed just one night here. It was a great location and very convenient for being near Gare du Nord. However the room was very dusty and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. We were very disappointed and uncomfortable due to the lack of cleanliness unfortunately.

The location next to the Gare du Nord makes this hotel a great stopover. An excellent bed, good shower and quiet room make for good value.

Website pictures do not reflect reality. We did not stay in that dump even though I paid. Reception was a mess and there was garbage everywhere, even in the small elevator. Rooms were dirty, strong gas smell, bathroom filthy, toilet did not work. We left and did not stay . Hotels.com should seriously verify the places you have on your site.

The room was dirty with fittings hanging off the wall and broken light switches. The room was also very hot and noisy as it was directly off the reception.

I realize the price is cheap but I wasn’t expecting bed bugs too. I have bites all over my arms and legs.
Wires hanging out of sockets, curtain rail not fixed to walls.
Well the hotel has made every effort to be as clean as possible the rooms require a major overhaul.

The room was tiny and dirty, very different from the pictures you can see on the website. The bathroom, in particular, was tiny with a nauseating musty smell. Last, my bed was infested by bedbugs and I had several insect bites all over my body.

No aircon, super small, old, smelling mouldy. We were delighted to leave. It was a terrible experience.

BED BUGS The area was convenient but extremely loud with a lot of unsavory individuals hanging around at all hours. The room was extremely small and dingy. There were ants and bed bugs. This hotel was overpriced and I do not recommend it even for one night.

Excellent value for money and a good location. Everything to be expected for a two star hotel
