The Magnolia Hotel & Spa

We are avid travellers, supporters of great local businesses and service establishments. We booked one night at Magnolia Hotel. Due to a sudden change in health of my wife (diagnosed with terminal breast cancer), we are unable to make our trip out to BC. For one night at Magnolia, they refused to cancel our reservation despite our desire to pay them at least a cancellation fee. They have lost customers and customers friends for life. Thank you for your kindness, Magnolia hotel.

Outstanding hotel. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful, from the front desk, to the restaurant, to housekeeping. Our Diamond King room was very nice, with a perfect bathroom. The bar/restaurant is great. Highly recommend adding breakfast plan! Location virtually next door to the Empress and inner harbor can’t be beat.

We had another lovely stay at the Magnolia. We were there for a birthday trip and the hotel was very helpful in arranging flowers and chocolates upon our arrival. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the Parliament buildings and it was perfect. The hotel is central to the inner harbour, an easy walk to many restaurants and attractions. The hotel is elegant, well kept and the service is exceptional, which is hard to find these days. We loved it and will be back again!

Great hotel in the perfect location for exploring Victoria over a day or two. Very friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay here again if back in Victoria.

Excellent boutique hotel with a great restaurant and bar. The staff -- to a person -- are kind and helpful. The complimentary bikes were great to explore the city. The room was large, clean, and really comfortable.

My favourite hotel. Always spotless, friendly staff and great location. The Courtney Room is also our favourite restaurant. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Victoria.

If you like to be pampered and details matter in your stay then the Magnolia is your 100% hotel. Everything from welcome cookies to turn-down chocolates. All staff was welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Highly recommended! We chose this hotel based on its excellent reviews, and they are truly well-earned. The location is ideal for exploring downtown Victoria and the waterfront, the rooms offer a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff is outstanding.I especially want to highlight Ms. Savannah Cannatella, Director of Rooms. She went completely out of her way to return a watch of high sentimental value that my spouse accidentally left behind. Ms. Savannah personally organized international shipping and took great care to package the item securely. Thank you to the entire team—we highly recommend this hotel, its great facilities, and the cozy bar and restaurant!
