Cons:

Extremely dirty and moldy. So dirty we couldn’t sleep in the sheets had to sleep in travel sleeping bags. Beds were so sunken in we slept side ways on them.

Hotel blízko oceánu s příjemným bazénem
Pros:

Hotel v blízkosti pláže, promenády i restaurací a obchodů.
Čistý pokoj s lednicí, mikrovlnnou troubou a filtrační konvici na kafe včetně kávy.
Pěkný bazén. Možnost ručníků k bazénu.
Milý personál.

Cons:

Zub času byl nejvíce znát v koupelně. Některé věci by bylo vhodné vyměnit (např. rezavý držák na toaletní štětku).
Špatná wifi (večer nefungovala vůbec, na což jsem upozornila na recepci. Ráno již fungovala).
Nebyli jsme upozorněni, že dělají snídaně, toho jsme si všimli, až když jsme projížděli později okolo směrem ze severu. Bylo by fajn sdělit hostům tu možnost.
Měli jsme pokoj na boku hotelu, takže výhled nebyl hezký a byl tam docela hluk ze silnice. Na 1 noc nám to úplně nevadilo, ale na delší pobyt by to nebylo příjemné.

Good value and location.
Pros:

nice view of the ocean and close to shops. Good size unit. staff was friendly hand helpful. .

Cons:

unit could have been a little nicer appointed. Towels were cheap, kitchen was not as well equipped as we were used to. The unit did not have a toaster, you had to got to the lobby to make toast or a bagel.

Pros:

There is a nice stretch of beach with biking and jogging path right outside our hotel room. The view is amazing! The room is equipped with a DVD player, and from the reception desk we rented a couple of movies that were filmed at this island. Watching those films in the hotel room is an interesting experience.

Cons:

The the mattress on the bed in our hotel room is very worn, it sunk down in the middle. Also when we first arrived, we found the lid of the toliet was not properly cleaned.

Pros:

walking out into the garden and facing the ocean was lovely. walking into town without finding parking was easy. Hotel parking was easy.

Cons:

rooster crows. but I don't think you can avoid that on Kauaʻi. Beach wasn't swimmable (also not the hotel's issue)

Pros:

Right on water! Clean and staff so friendly. Wonderful to loan out beach towels for free- and nice big fluffy ones. Banana bread delicious and a nice touch

Cons:

The shower rod fell down on me.

A great place if you plan on going out during the day to explore the island.
Pros:

Beach front access near a coastal walking path, comfortable room/bed, friendly staff, clean room, walking distance to local restaurants/shops, central to other island locations so it never felt like a long drive to go anywhere. It's all you need if you plan on going out a lot during the day and just need a place to sleep and do a little eating/shopping. It's also near the farmer's market on Wednesdays.

Cons:

There was some maintenance issue happening outside the room that resulted in an intermittent beeping noise throughout the night. The staff was aware and had their maintenance work on it, and while it stopped (sometimes) or got quieter it never was fully fixed. Not really a negative experience - just a bit of bad timing for me.

Ocean front unobstructed views.
Pros:

We were very pleased to have chosen the Hotel Coral Reef for our three night stay. The hotel, despite its name is not a 'resort'. We were in the upstairs corner suite which is the size of two rooms with its full kitchen and separate bedroom. The hotel is right on the beach with the public walking path separating its lawn from the shore. So you get to watch the locals and tourists passing throughout the day. The ocean front rooms are in fact ocean front and unobstructed. It is in the heart of Kapaa town within easy walking distance of everything. Yes there are unhoused people living in the area. Yes traffic is horrendous. Neither of which are their responsibility but folks might like to know. Zero parking fees and zero resort fees make it a solid bargain. We would absolutely stay there again without hesitation.
