Convenient location and excellent staff
The room was very nice, clean. Excellent breakfast.
Room, no shelves in the bathroom to put your toiletry’s. Would expect car park to be included in the room rate!
Es war alles da was man brauchte. Das Personal war sehr nett und es gab am 25.12.26 sogar ein trad. Christmas cake geschenkt.
Alles war gut.
Breakfast great …no food in a Sunday a huge key down …had a long drive and hadn’t eaten so was excited to eat
Staff lovely
The hotel is in an ideal place for us.
We upgraded our room but found it very cold. No heating on.
Breakfast was nice!
We recently had major building work done on our house, so we needed to check into a hotel for a few days. My wife - who is far too boujee to even look at a Travelodge - decided we should stay at Moore Place in Aspley Guise. She expected a little luxury, maybe even “the life of Riley.” Instead, we got… Riley’s structurally questionable garden shed.
The room we were given (number 86, for the detectives among you) appeared to have been decorated by someone who lost a bet in 1987. The carpet was a scruffy, angry red… the walls a soothing “Shrek Green”… and the overall vibe was Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen having a nervous breakdown. The room smelled both unclean and mysterious, like something had died, revived itself, and then decided to die again under the bed.
There were stains on the bedding and furniture - so many, in fact, that we started giving them names. There were no table lamps at all, meaning a midnight toilet break illuminated the entire room like Oasis headlining Wembley. I’m not saying the lighting was harsh, but I could feel my retinas negotiating their exit package.
Random bits of equipment were strewn around the room as though we’d stumbled into a car boot sale curated by someone who hates people. And for reasons unknown, the room included three completely unnecessary, strategically inconvenient staircases that required all of my obstacle-course training and a small prayer to navigate without injury.
But the pièce de résistance? Our key cards stopped working six times during a three-night stay. That’s twice a day, for those keeping score. Each time required a soggy trek across the car park to reception, where I was looked at like a man from Crimewatch trying to bluff his way into a stranger’s room.
I wouldn't have left this review here too (it was originally left on TripAdvisor) but the hotel GM (Zoltan) was pretty rude in his reply, so he can read it here too!
The cottage smelt really damp, not a nice aroma to walk into really🤷♀️
Very large spacious room, lovely big bath.
Everywhere was acceptable.

Have stayed here before staff are lovely and helpful , breakfast good choice hot and tasty.
Rooms clean and bed comfortable.
Room was in an awful position totally overlooked and right on the drive as cars drive in. Hence could not open blinds or window, room was roasting in the night as we couldn’t air room as it would not of been safe.
There was a function so hotel was full and we were advised not able to move room.
In the middle of the night the room above us decided to talk loudly for well over an hour so we could not sleep.
After complaining to the management we were advised we should have complained to night porter but as no hotel phones to reception it was not an option to find a porter at 3am.
Staff apologised about the room no 50 and advised us to call direct in future if we stayed again but this was not a cheap room for one night and no recompense was offered even if staff were very apologetic.
Extremely disappointed with our stay this time.
We have an elderly relative near by which makes location a plus for us but we may think twice about booking again unfortunately.
Excellent
The distance of the local shops.
Convenient for the location we needed to attend
We booked a room but the room was not available due to a leak and felt like the room we was given was not up to the rate that we paid. Had to ask for more towels and iron or ironing bored.
Location was lovely
Didn’t like the lodge room's, very out dated not what expected on when entered the room. Thought the room would be more fresher.
Kerbside appeal
Tired furnishings, poor decorating (plaster bulges in walls. Bath panel badly cracked and secured with inappropriate screws. Grouting around bath poor condition/application. Poor lighting around bedroom mirror. Mattress seen better days as it sloped into the middle. All hot plates wet empty at 10:00 took an age for them to be replenished
Good location with ample parking. Really good staff. Attractive reception and bar area.
We were in the Aspley building which was separate to the main hotel. The room was very hot and even though I turned the radiator off it remained on. I ended up having to open the window as there was no individual thermostat to control the heat. This then meant we disturbed by the noise of traffic.
The decor was okay but the bathroom was somewhat tired with a gap between the bath panel and the bath and the window blind was mouldy because the fan associated with the light was not working. As we were only staying one night it was okay but I wouldn’t want to have a longer stay in that room.
Very local to pubs and brilliant Thai
