Lovely location, friendly staff and a very generous room.
Breakfast was quite good enough for a business day, and the setting is very pleasant.
room was adequate, i didnt have breakfast as I was leaving early for breakfast with friends at a local golf course
all was good, maybe not being in the main hotel wasnt ideal but wouldnt stop me staying again
Bathroom had no bath plugs, which I thought was pretty poor. The lady at the front desk was very, very nice and tried to get one from housekeeping, but to no avail.
I came here for an night of 'me time' and a long relaxing hot bath... However, the universe had other plans!.
My stay didn't start well as I was put in a room with a view of two dilapidated garages on the main road side of the hotel. The lovely lady on reception moved me to another room in the cottages but the cottages are basically larger rooms at the back of the hotel and not cottages at all.
I asked for a room with a bath but unfortunately there was no hot water. The staff are a credit to this hotel and did everything to accommodate me, unfortunately the buildings age and need of attention, worked against them.
Aspley Guise is a lovely village surrounded by fabulous woodland dog walks there's a fabulous pub over the road that does the best cocktails and superb home cooked food.
No hot water .. not that they could help the boiler breaking down
Breakfast .. on the strength of the breakfast I was very glad not to eat dinner in the hotel.
Lovely Georgian era hotel close to the M1. Staff service 8s excellent, Nice breakfast.
Tired hotel. Grounds are weeds strewn. Feels like years of under-investment. Staff are keeping this place running. Owner needs to put some capital into this lovely old hotel. It could be amazing!
The last review I posted on Trip Advisor for this Hotel, had a couple of minor criticisms within it. However, I have to say, following the Manager's (Zoltan Szentpeteri) response to my review, our stay this time was lovely.
He took on board my comments and reached out to me. It was his swift response and understanding that encouraged us to book to stay here again (this is our third overnight stay at Moore Place). I think more Hotel Managers could learn from his approach to feedback. In my experience, alot of Manager's don't even respond to reviews so I was very impressed that Zoltan took the time to reply.
We had a lovely, large room on the ground floor over looking the garden. Large bathroom with two sinks and a shower with a double shower head. The lounge area is really comfortable and the staff very friendly and welcoming.
The reason I only awarded 4 stars is purely because we have not yet had the opportunity of having an evening meal in their Restaurant as, on each occasion we've stayed here overnight, the restaurant has been closed due to a private function. I would, however, say that the bar snacks were lovely and the cooked breakfast we had was very nice.
We will stay again.
The staff were lovely & the decor was nice
It was a bit dated, the bath was too short to lay down in (im 5ft6) and the bed wasnt overly comfortable
Great location and very helpful staff
Pillows were very uncomfortable
Pleasant quiet location, conservatory restaurant, plenty of parking, friendly staff. Good size room with large double bed. Bathroom was large with underfloor heating and heated towel rail.
Room needed a refurb. ‘Heavy’ dark dated furniture and TV balanced on a small table. Carpet was coming away from door bars due to age. No usb charging, bath over the shower with high step over to get in, material shower curtain, no anti slip coating in bath or mat, sash windows were grubby and one didn’t work at all. No water provided in the room to make tea/coffee or drink.
