Great location, friendly staff and a clean comfortable room.
Pros:

Our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The staff were helpful, friendly and engaging. The bar facilities were adequate and relaxing. The location of the hotel was perfect for the purpose of our visit.

Cons:

The food in the restaurant was ok and ‘filled a hole’ but wasn’t exceptional.
£5 to park the car.

Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely location. Room comfortable.
Pros:

Breakfast very nice. 1st morning plated full English, 2nd morning buffet style. No problem with this just unusual. Staff helpful & very friendly

Cons:

Parking Charges. Even though knew before hand, as it is a private car park for the hotel, strange that guests have to pay.
Mattress a little uncomfortable but realise all tastes can't be catered for.

Disappointed
Pros:

This is our second overnight stay here..

The Hotel is in a very good location for visiting Woburn, the lounge area has comfy seating, our room was a good size and clean and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. However, we gave a star rating of only 3 as we were disappointed about some things.

We paid for our room in advance on a cancellation no refund basis. The day before we were due to arrive, we received an email advising that the Restaurant would be unavailable on the night of our stay due to an event. Altho we hadn't booked a table in the Restaurant, we had intended to eat our evening meal in the Hotel, we just didn't know what time we would be arriving. We had spent alot of our day travelling from Derbyshire to Cambridgeshire then from Cambridgeshire to the Hotel so did not want to drive out again to eat elsewhere in the evening. The short notice we were given is not acceptable. Even bar snacks, that are advertised as being available on the Hotel website, were also not available that evening either!

This is not the first time this has happened to us. When we stayed in Dec 2025, we were emailed to say the Restaurant would be closed due to an event but at least, on that occasion, we were given a couple of weeks' notice. The Receptionist has since told us that they often hold events here Saturday nights which means their Restaurant closes! So we'd advise anyone booking here check this at the time of booking.

The next annoyance was that the quilt on our bed was extremely thin making the bed not cosy to sleep in at all and we both felt chilly during the night.

We had two windows in our room. One with a nice view of the pond but the other with a view of metal cabinets being stored outside, right up against the window.

Sadly, these experiences will make us think twice about booking to stay here again. Such a shame as it's a pretty Hotel and in a good location for us to visit family.

Nice hotel, perfect location
Pros:

Perfect location down the road from my mother who lives in a 1 bedroom flat
The venue excellent and staff were really nice and friendly

Cons:

Booking via booking.com resulted in an extra £5 car parking charge. The staff said this wouldn’t apply if I had booked direct with the hotel.

Wonderful Service from Terri & a Surprisingly Great Meal
Pros:

Overall, the hotel has been perfectly fine and comfortable, but I have to highlight the restaurant experience in particular.

The food was unexpectedly great — the steak was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavour, and the greens were beautifully prepared as well. It genuinely exceeded my expectations.

What truly stood out, though, was Terri. She was incredibly attentive and genuinely kind, with a natural warmth that made the whole evening feel special. Her service made a real difference to my stay and is honestly the main reason I would return. She’s a real credit to the restaurant.
