Nice hotel but overpriced. Not in town center.
Pros:

Room amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste, nice shampoo, conditioner, shaving kit, lotion - so I didn’t have to bring these. Gym had treadmill and weights. Dairy alternatives in restaurant. Staff was nice and helpful. Nice bar and drinks.

Cons:

Sauna did not open til noon. breakfast buffet was so-so. Overall temperature was too hot so I was sweating most of the time inside. Location was a bit of a hike to town which would be ok in better weather.
Really expensive for not having a full spa or better breakfast.

Very pleasant stay with amazing view over Longyearbyen
Pros:

Loved that hotel. Very charming decoration, amazing staff from the reception to the restaurant, and the view from the breakfast / dining room is simply breathtaking. Food in general is very nice! Don’t miss an evening in the restaurant.
If you decide to go the upper price segment hotels in Longyearbyen (so not the hostels with shared bathroom) I would always recommend Funkenlodge before the other options in Spotzbergen :)

Cons:

Sauna was always nice warmed, but small without windows.

Pros:

Lovely boutique hotel situated on a small hill just outside the main shopping area. The strip is not big and everything from the hotel is walking distance anyway

Cons:

Considering there are limited flights in and out of there, maybe some flexibility around early check-ins - if the rooms are available of course
