The location the location the location!! What a beautiful view of the Kyōbashi River! We had a perfect view of it because the hotel is situated just along the riverside ... hence the name! And, there are some shaded lawn chairs and tables located right behind the hotel's restaurant that allow you to enjoy the trees and park area that people walk through. And if you want, you can actually walk down to the river's edge from that point. Great way to stay cool and enjoy some mellow down time when not seeking out the latest "must-see" Hiroshima attractions. Very responsive and helpful front desk staff. They quickly came up and fixed a stuck drain stopper when asked, and always happily called taxis for us when we asked. They also happily held our luggage until check-in time when we arrived hours early. Yamada-san, one of the extremely pleasant and polite restaurant staff, was extremely friendly and welcoming to us all four days that we were guests of the hotel. She gave us recommendations for places to eat in the area and always kept us up to date with the latest offers and special menu items that the hotel's restaurant, The Riverside Cafe, had to offer. The breakfast buffet was something we looked forward to every morning! Great combination of Japanese and Western offerings. Delicious ... great coffee to boot! They are open for breakfast, lunch and early dinner and offered a "High Tea" service (need to make reservations 2 days in advance). The cleaning staff was also very friendly and did a great job with fresh towels and requests to clean as well. Having the ice dispenser right nearby on the same floor was a welcomed bonus. The room was a nice size and was well-lit, clean and had a nice shower/tub. It also had a heated mirror that didn't fog up. Also, only a 7-minute walk to Hiroshima Station. They don't have self-service laundry machines, but they do have in-hotel laundry service.

Cons:

Nothing ... You can't go wrong with choosing this location for your Hiroshima stay.
