Lodges were dirty unkept and neglected
The setting was beautiful, lots of wildlife and trees. Sunny, hot weather helped! The spa facilities were excellent and well maintained. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Much of my family were also staying there and I would have loved to stay an extra night as the surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing.
The rooms need a bit of tlc and there are things, such as bed side phone, that didn't work. My sister also had a room there and she didn't have hot water on the first morning. There was a bit of a ruckus with very unruly neighbours on the first night, but staff did what they could to help and it was dealt with very well.
Found our room relaxing
Didn't like the fact we had to step out into the mud, at the Spa, it was very boggy. Our shoes where covered in mud. Possibly bark will solve the issue
The peaceful setting
Mostly peaceful until plane took off as next to.leeds airport. Wood lodges although comfortable are a little tired.

Iv a lot of issues with the property ,
I booked the excecutive suite room 6 , it was shocking the bath was disgusting the tv didn’t work at the start the fridge didn’t work , hardly kept anything cold the swimming pool looked like it had algae on Sunday , very disappointed with our stay not to mention fire alarm going off on at half past 2 In the morning

Staff and room
The experience was "adequate" but the breakfast arrangements were poor - cereals were in short supply and the food was served on hot plates but was luke warm - the dread fro toast was old and there were no conserves like marmalade or jam. The tea was self service with a tea bag in a small cup with water that was not warm enough

The external parts look rather tatty and need some general maintenance works to modern standards.
Reception was very friendly Mckenie could not be more helpful was offered 2 rooms and we could choice.Spa was nice Vitold was so helpful and very accommodating.
TV only had 2 channels bed was very soft and not very comfy
