Lovely room, great staff, excellent facilities
Welcome drinks were awaiting us with complementary robes and slippers. Beautiful location with a river view.
It could have been cleaned better. Sauce down the cupboards of kitchen and dirty skirting boards. Some areas needed a little TLC and hot tub was very old and well used. Looked like rust brown in some areas.
The location and staff were both good
The hotel had a 'tired' feel to it. The shower in room 46 was either cold and powerful or warm and slow - could not achieve hot and fast. Breakfast was ok, but the 'Hot Water' for the tea was not hot enough, and no teapots in sight. The glass panels outside the Lakeside restaurant were in need of a good clean.
We stayed in a lodge, good size very comfortable. Sorry it was a brief stay didn't get to use the Spa. But the surroundings were great. Nice and quiet but also close enough to visit all the local attractions and be in a natural surrounding.
The breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked.
The Executive lodges weren't as private as I imagined, they were in blocks of 3 set in together. Not a massive problem but I think I will stay in the Hotel next time.
Would never stay again.
All of it! Needs a huge investment- do not stay!
Great location and being able to stay with our dogs. Tea and coffee facitlites in the room was good and complimentary Prosecco. The bed was nice and comfortable too.
All the soap dispensers were empty in our room and when we requested new ones they were just left in the bathroom without being installed properly. The people in the room next to us were smoking weed which so strong and unpleasant each time we acccessed our room through the adjoining corridor.
Location to airport
It did appear to be a little tired and the walk outside to you room/bungalow section was a bit nippy but could have been worse if it had been raining
The location is beautiful
Signal is terrible on phones and TV
In a lovely area. Out of the way and quiet enough to enjoy your stay. The property is very well kept, clean and overall beautiful.
The location is fantastic it’s so peaceful too.
We have been visiting CHEVIN for a lot of years, we used to visit when it was with the previous owners.
We don’t know who owns it now? But it seems neglected & in need of some TLC, we always enjoy our stay because of the location & the peace.
The room we booked for an event was absolutely crammed with sofas. The projector we were supposed to have didn't materialise and we were bought a tiny little tele to present on. The coffee was really bad. Sorry to complain but they are pretty easy things to fix.
Lots of things to choose from and the cooked breakfast was lovely and the service was very good .
Nothing could of bn better was perfect.
The staff ( especially Tracey) were exceptional at all times.
The pool was a bit busy.
