Very impressed with your staff who went over and above to provide a facility for my daughter who was on a visit from Australia to attend a wedding. However she also had an interview for a job promotion in Australia
and a room was made available to her for this purpose. AND she got the job so many thanks!!
Overall the cabin was cosy, the actual hotel was beautiful and most of food was very good. Cant fault the main meals and breakfast. Service was great from all staff
The cabins could do with some touch ups, like scratched paint on doors and some scuffs/stains on the wall and a bit of an upgrade, like the bathroom, especially the flooring. The mattress was too soft for me and my partner. Did find the evening meal was a bit pricey for what you got, was delicious though, but the cake we ordered for dessert was expensive for portion sizes and dry, as saying that, we would definitely come back
Wonderful location with lots of excellent wildlife to see. It felt secluded yet very safe. The food was delicious.
Bathroom was a bit dated and an odd shape. I am quite a big fella I guess?
Location is nice, staff try their hardest
Our cabin was run down and didn’t have a working shower. Moved to the lodge which was just bizzarre, run down and not very clean. Bath plug full of hair. Internet is terrible and the TVs have about 2 channels that work. Restraunt food looked awful, bar space ok but everything super dusty. Considering what we paid, not great. Also pool facilities are restricted to guests
Being in the woods in a nice lodge executive room. It’s exceptionally dog friendly so ideal for dog parents.
It’s right under the flight path for Leeds Bradford airport and was very noisy as it sounded as if the planes were landing right over the park.
Excellent location great rooms
Good location
Run down bedroom. Gardner was out at 6am with noisy machines.
Location and grounds are pleasant. Nice to have a drink by the lake.
Staff completely unmotivated and generally disinterested, most of the time you have to go find them to get them to do anything. Whole place looks tired and dirty. Key cards constantly failing and locking us out of our room. Some of our family had brown water coming out the taps. Food overpriced and seemed to be cooked from frozen. Spa felt cold, wet, and dirty.
This was a nice cabin
Clean inside and well maintained
The cabins outside look run down and in disrepair
loved the selection off tea and coffee in the room, breakfast was good value and loved the spa
bathroom had mould in it, dusty and decor is dated. Evening food 2 burgers 38.00 expected better quality , overpriced
outside area nice to walk around
rooms were basic for what it cost
breakfast wasn't the best was luke warm
Staff are very helpful and place is spacious and relaxing
Door too close to each other , can hear neighbours coming in and going
Lovely and relaxing, food at the restaurant was amazing too
Unfortunately the hot tub was unavailable
Being in the forest in the lodge good location good facilities for swimming and sauna
The lodge could of been a bit bigger
Comfy bed
Some friendly staff
Fab location
Water cut off with half an hour warning on wedding day
Hot tubs out of working order
Fire alarms went off
Guests we recomended had poor experiences- wet sheets/ no water or brown water/ power cut/ all offered random differebt prices for spa facilities- told it ia discretionary based on staff member???
The location is great for wood walks
Water went off whilst showering! The beds were damp and the water was brown when it came back on.
