Very nice room, plenty of amenities like iron/ironing board, coffee machine, kettle, mini bar etc. Our room had a small balcony where we could sit and have our coffee in the morning. Soundproofing was very good, we couldn't hear the road noise at all. Very central location, many things to do walking distance and close to metro and train station.
Great location with many restaurants, sites, and metro nearby. Very easy to explore Paris. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The double deluxe room was very spacious. Front staff are friendly and very helpful.
the neighboring rooms can be a little noisy, but wasn't a problem for the most part
The room was dwarf tiny, same as the toilets and the bed
Great hotel , great location
The crew was helpful and friendly
Hotel Belloy is a wedge shaped building that is in the heart of Saint Germaine and has that magazine worthy “photo shoot” vibe neighborhood…so get out your Apple Map and GO! Easy walk to a few different Metro stations (preload the app “Bonjour RATP”) to preload a few tickets onto your phone and then just click to go thru turnstiles. Also for those that love to walk and discover the city, it feels very safe walking in the area and is a close-ish walk to Pantheon, NotreDame, Louvre, and Tulleries. We took metro to places a little further like Montmartre, Musee d’Orsay, Eiffel Tower, and Versailles (RER train).
The staff was always very helpful (one even suggested a better metro station that was safer and would avoid the crowds near SacreCoeur so we would better enjoy walking around Montmartre; another helped us get a taxi scheduled for our return to airport; and another gave suggestions and made reservation for us at local cafes). The hotel lobby is currently under renovation and was mostly covered in plastic when we were there because they had been painting and prepping walls. We did not eat at the little basement breakfast nook because we wanted to get out and walk in the mornings when it was not so busy with people traffic. 7am, head to grab fresh croissants/pastries down near the Farmers Market (at LaMaison d’ Isabelle) which is also near NotreDame. Makes getting up early so much more worth it. There’s also tons of nearby cafes and restaurants that are delicious. Note: Check for dinner reservations the day before or morning so that after a day of adventure, you have a time and spot for food without a long wait. The staff can help you with that too!
The hotel rooms: You need to know you are staying in a historic building with old world charm. Streets are narrow, windows are big, and it is a city with city noises (I am sensitive to noise and did well, only the police siren sound cuts thru windows…there were no ice makers that I found, and we were around the corner from a staff elevator, and never really heard it—the night Paris PSG beat London Arsenal in soccer, that was a loud night). Walls are kinda thin, but in 5 days we were there, we rarely heard them. We had 3 adults in a room. It’s cozy. Bathroom is narrow. But we knew this. We had reviewed the size (area) of various rooms in Paris, and really wanted the LOCATION. This was perfect…and away from mass tourist hotels. Housekeeping made beds and replaced towels daily. Coffee makers in room (and tea), but we really didn’t use that. There is a tiny elevator (fits 2 people and a suitcase or 2) to access rooms, but we took the spiral stairs all the time to our 3rd floor room.
Downtown, good location, pretty clean
Very noisy — the walls are too thin. You can literally hear everyone passing by your door. Everything else was good, thanks
Nice hotel. Very Pleasant staff (Mr. Morgan).
Rooms are a bit small. Bathrooms very small as well.
But it was a pleasant expérience
מיקום המלון נפלא הצוות נפלא
החדר היה קטן
Great location and polite staff.
I honestly don’t think this hotel deserves a 4-star ranking. At most 3 stars. Rooms are tiny, we could hear the people talking on the adjacent rooms. Even when they used the restrooms.
Hallways and the 1 elevator also very space constricted. We were 2 people in the room and could barely move around.
Definitely meant only for sleeping. Not spending any time either in the room or in the lobby.
Again, it’s nobody’s fault, everyone is well-intentioned, but the reviews made it look much better and gave me higher expectations.
In conclusion, shouldn’t be a Four-star hotel, overpriced, and only meant for sleeping and showering. Not ideal for people who are claustrophobic.
La ubicación
Estaba muy sucia la terraza, llena de telarañas. La habitación era muy chica y casi no se podía transitar
The Hotel Belloy is very well situated only a 10 minute walk to the Seine and Notre Dame.
Hotel Belloy would be best described as a boutique hotel in the St. Germaine district of Paris , very close to the Latin quarter.
The staff are very friendly and efficient and the hotel is very clean.
If you enjoy large rooms, this is not the hotel for you as most rooms would be considered very small compared to North America but we felt this was very typical of rooms in the area.
If I had one criticism it would be that the climate control system in our room could not keep up to the very warm temperatures Europe was encountering, which made for very uncomfortable sleeping.
This hotel is worth considering.
The rooms are in the smaller side as is to be expected in an older Paris hotel but it’s arranged well and plumbing etc seem new. My room had good shower pressure.
