Big car park, easy check in, great value
Wasn’t sure how to access pool etc
No air conditioning in the rooms
Lovely gym and pool and jacuzzi
The club room was a far walk and the lift was out of order
Had to pay for the car park which I thought was free as staying there !! No air conditioning in the rooms so very uncomfortable nights sleep!!
Staff were lovely, bar was excellent. Great location.
No air conditioning during a heatwave was poor. Spa area was busy.
Facilities were great
Noise outside
You know what your getting, being able to use gym & pool facilities was great.
No air conditioning but at least a fan.
Clean, easy to get to, good location, good breakfast
Parking not included
Great location for visiting Warwick Uni.
The room was utterly boiling! Whilst we did stay during the recent heatwave, we were shocked by how hot our room was. The windows wouldn’t open much and whilst there was a fan in the room, the heat was so bad we couldn’t sleep at all.
We had food in the restaurant a whilst my son’s meat burger was great - the veggie burger was, without doubt, the worst I’ve ever had! It was a pile of bland rice in a burger - yes - rice in a burger - not bound and in a patty - literally just a spoonful of rice. It was truly DREADFUL!
A real shame as the bar is decent and the meat meals looked fine but they definitely need to up their vegetarian options.
Breakfast is fine but I prefer something from Costa Coffee.
Very good overall
Rooms were fresh, spacious, clean, modern and had all the facilities required for our stay. Check in was easy too. Breakfast was tasty.
I wish it had air con! During the heat wave it was super hot and one fan alongside opening the windows a tiny bit wasn’t really enough! If it did have air con, it would be a 10/10 easy.
Gym and Starbucks and close to Warwick University which was reason for visit
It was 33 degrees heat on top floor with scaffolding outside meaning you cannot open any windows and there is no ventilation or air conditioning. Instead we have been given one small very noisy fan that is blowing warm air around. I am not bothered that there is no air conditioning it is the fact you can’t open the windows so there is zero relief from heat at night. It is at least 10 decrees cooler outside right now than this room. I have been to reception and tried to move rooms but have been told that there’s nothing available on a lower floor or with windows that open. I have done a 4 hr drive for a university open day tomorrow and have to do a 4 hrs drive back on what will be a very very restless night. They can only offer a cancellation of room and refund to find somewhere else at 8.30pm at night is not good enough. They should have emailed or called to pre-warn about scaffolding outside meaning windows cannot be opened. If I had known this in such hot weather I would have cancelled and found somewhere else.
The receptionist was excellent trying to resolve the issue.
We arrived and checked in and went up to our room. On the way up to the room and temperature increased significantly in the corridors. Upon entering the room the temperature and stuffiness (windows closed) was ridiculous. It was simply impossible to be in the room and actually dangerous - especially as I have epilepsy. We returned to reception and had to change our twin room for a double room which was also very hot (slightly less so as it was one floor lower).
Questions:
- why is the no plan for higher temperatures for your hotel ?
- why is there no air conditioning for when we have air temperatures in the mid 30's ?
- why are all hotel room windows unable to be opened ?
- why was I not communicated about the above situation ?
- there was no plan in place from the hotel. Considering the fact I am epileptic it is simply unacceptable that no one in senior management thought about having any kind of plan for high temperatures to ensure the safety of their customers.
It was too late to move to another hotel. I was put in an impossible situation. I will never stay in one of your hotels again. And no one cared.
I think it was good value for money and the pool and facilities were a great perk to have included
The fact the room didn’t have air con just a fan and it was In the middle of a heat wave
