La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Bend

The property is not up kept well at all. 1st room we were given the fridge did not work. Moved to another room and the TV didn’t work. Staff tried to fix it got it to work but then the volume would not go up so you could barely hear it, then it stopped working completely again. Informed the staff again but nothing was done. Then the icing on the cake… come to find when I woke up and was going to make the bed I noticed I slept on sheets that had small dried blood spots that were not from me. I called staff again and they came up and seen the sheets and tried to say it looked fresh! I told her to put her phone light on it and you can tell it definitely is not fresh blood. I am a nurse and know the difference from fresh blood and old blood. Then she was oh yeah your right and then just offered to send housekeeping in to change the bedding. I will never stay at any Travelodge hotels again. Mined you this was the 1st time staying at a travelodge hotel too.

The pool and hot tub were not working and had no water. The room had a refrigerator that did not work and the AC unit on the wall did not work. It seemed like the maintenance on the hotel was not a priority. The staff informed us that the owners do not take care of the property. We asked for a discount for all of the problems that we were having with our stay or a refund of some sort because of the conditions of the hotel they gave us a 20 percent coupon for a next day at one of their hotels. To say the least, the picture of the pool is very deceiving and the property is not taking care of is not worth the money. The staff was OK, but they were used to people complaining about problems. We were not the only people staying there that had the same issues we will not be staying here ever again they said the reason why they could not refund us back our money was because we booked it on Booking.com and that they they don't get paid. They just get a portion of the money so they couldn't reimburse us back our money.

Advertised a pool and the pool had been closed down since January.

Pool has been closed for months, not indicated so on website. Looked seedy and depressing. Hall carpets are old. You cannot fully close curtains in rooms! Outrageous!

I got ill there and couldn't stay the whole time.

It was a shoebox room for over $300 a night.

The bathroom light would unexpectedly shut off but when we asked for it to be fixed there were no maintenance staff since 2:00 in the afternoon. The next day no one came to solve the problem. We set all of our dirty towels out and they were picked up but the cleaning crew didn’t leave us any new towels. When we asked for more there were only 2 available. At 10:45pm, as we were going to sleep, a staff member knocked on our door to bring us more towels. I had reserved 2 Queen beds, I got a king bed room and then they couldn’t change it because the entire hotel was booked. We weren’t able to check in early, the pool was closed, and the exterior door at the side of the hotel never locked. When we got there to check in there was a long line. A manager was sitting at the front desk with another employee and the manager didn’t help to check anyone in. The hotel knew they were fully booked and had only one staff member who was doing everything. She was constantly away from the desk. Therefore none of the regular amenities were available. The water was empty in the lobby, another customer had no air conditioning in their room, and any requests took forever. This was a very sub par stay.

Could hear some of the road noise with a room facing the road.

Booking .com said my bill was $110.88. My credit card said $127.55. Where did extra $17.00 come from?
