Lovely hotel in Knysna in a fabulous location
Pros:

We booked 2 x rooms for 3 nights. The hotel is right next to the waterfront so in a great location. Our rooms were next to each other as requested. The rooms with even numbers have a pool/marina view and odds offer a city view.
The rooms were spacious. Clean and modern and have a fridge. The beds were comfortable.
We had bed and breakfast booked. The breakfast was buffet and had plenty of choice including cold meats. Cereal, cooked breakfasts and pastries.
My tip is if you want eggs with your cooked breakfast, ask for them 1st as they make them fresh. Otherwise by the time they are ready, your breakfast will not be warm.
The hotel workers were all lovely and cannot do enough for you. There is secure parking at a fee of 30 Rand per day.
There is some refurbishment work going on, so there are no lifts at the moment. The porters did take our luggage for us as we were on the 3rd floor.
The pool looks lovely, but it just wasn't warm enough for us to use.
This is a lovely hotel and if the lifts had been working, I would have given 5. But hopefully this will only be temporary.
Knysna is a beautiful location with so much to see and do.

Pros:

Location was excellent. Rooms were a good size as was the bathroom. Unfortunately the lifts were not working at the time. Buffet breakfast was good with decent selection. Staff were good.

Protea Hotel Knysna very well located
Pros:

The location to the start of the Knysna Cycle Challenge and to the waterfront. The cleaning and porter staff were fabulous.

Cons:

The lift is not operational. For the elderly and people with dodgy knees, it's a problem to access the rooms on the first and second floors.

Este hotel não tem padrão para usar o nome Marriott.


Há meses vem aplicando o golpe do elevador. 


O elevador do hotel não funciona há muitos meses, mas eles não divulgam isso no momento da reserva.


Pouquíssimos dias antes do incio da estadia, quando praticante já não há mais tempo para procurar outra alternativa de hospedagem, mandam um e-mail comunicando que estão sem elevadores. Uma mensagem que leva crer tratar-se de um problema pontual. O que é uma grande mentira! 


A governança é bastante falha. O staff do restaurante também. Os funcionários preferem conversar entre si a dar atenção aos hospedes. 


TVs com imagem péssima!

Secador de cabelo que não funcionava de maneira adequada. 


Todos os quartos ficam em uma área descoberta. No frio, logo após abrir a porta do quarto, você recebe a lufada de frio.

Perfect location, spacious rooms, friendly and attentive service.
Pros:

Rooms are spacious and well designed. Beautiful modern and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with lots to offer a variety of tastes. It was fantastic that the hotel made such an effort to accommodate the marathon runners with extra early breakfast and a shuttle service. This was unexpected and shows attentiveness to what is happening in the town and addressing the guests 'needs accordingly. Thank you!

Cons:

Winter time in Knysna is very cold, blankets offered in the rooms would help.

Once again great stay. Will use the hotel again.
Pros:

Central location and view of the lagoon is why we use the hotel. Staff went a long way to accommodate us. Breakfast is good. Room is clean and comfortable.
