Cleveland! The front desk, house keeping and kitchen staff were great.
We were in Cleveland to attend the graduation of our granddaughter from CWRU. The staff of the hotel were extremely pleasant and did their best to be helpful. The rooms are spacious; we were in one of the older suites and it was very large. It was not one of the newly renovated rooms and is in need or renovation. Our daughter stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and the difference is like night and day. if we were to stay again we would want to be in a renovated room. The restaurant in the hotel has a reasonable menu. The food is acceptable but not outstanding. As for the rest of the hotel, the staff is very nice. We did order room service at breakfast and one morning the service was quite slow. As it turned out, the two waiters in the restaurant also had to cover room service so there was not enough coverage. In all we enjoyed our stay because of the size of the rooms and the graciousness of the staff.
Easy access to Cleveland Clinic
The staff was fantastic and made us feel welcome...!!! Michelle & Dionne went out of their way to make us comfortable and make sure we were ok and had what we needed. They were excellent, and if we return to Cleveland, I hope they are working that day...!!!
It was a great location. Very close to the Cleveland Clinic and the shuttle service to and from the hospital was terrific. The best part was the friendly staff and the restaurant. Not so great was the room. It was dated with frayed carpet and in need of paint. Also it wasn't as clean as it could have been especially the bathroom where I had to rinse out hair in the tub and go to the front desk for towels as they had been forgotten. We had asked to use the sofa bed but the mattress was worn out with springs poking through so we just doubled up in the beds instead after trying it for one night. The regular beds were comfortable but I was surprised they were full size beds; not queen sized. To be fair, they were advertised as double beds and I just assumed all hotels now had queen sized beds. In review, for the cost, I wish the hotel room had been not so worn out and much cleaner. We were there for just two nights so it was bearable and the staff was so nice, that it made that all better.
Stayed due to family medical issue. Very close to the clinic hospital. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was slightly dated, but very comfortable and clean.
Lovely hotel conveniently attached to Cleveland Clinic. Spacious, updated rooms. Wish there were more gluten free options in the restaurants. Would recommend refurbishing the towel supply. Should not charge for a refrigerator in a facility specifically advertising to be a place to come to for a medical stay.
I’ve stayed here a few times while being treated at Cleveland Clinic. The staff is extremely friendly & helpful. The rooms are clean & up to date. I will continue to stay here while undergoing treatment.
Poor quality. I expected better.
The room was amazing. I wish there was more of a discount for people who need a place to stay while their husband is having cancer treatments. 🥹
Good location and beautiful room. Great food in restaurant. Great room service also.
Very nice stay in new remodels seventh floor stood in the last room two windows very nice
The location of this hotel is great for visitors and patients to the Cleveland Clinic. My room was spacious, well furnished and comfortable. The staff were welcoming, efficient and very helpful. I felt highly valued. The two reasons I can’t give the highest rating are that the room lighting was a little dim and more importantly there were insufficient electrical outlets in the area around the bed and desk and all of the USB ports were the old USB-A sort. I got help from the front desk to lend me a USB-A to USB-C cable that salvaged the situation. All the problems could be fixed by quite minor updates.
My stay was very enjoyable. The suite was very nice. Housekeeping was excellent as well as maintenance, restaurant servers, valet and concierge, and front desk personnel. . Everyone went out of their way to accommodate and assist, always with a smile. I would stay there again.
I recently stayed at the Hotel InterContinental and had a mixed experience.
Positive Aspects
Location: The hotel's position is excellent, making it convenient for visiting nearby attractions and dining options.
Staff: The people working here are friendly and accommodating, always willing to assist with any inquiries or requests.
Areas for Improvement
However, my experience was marred by cleanliness issues. The rooms need more attention. During both my recent stay and a previous visit, I noticed that the door frames and walls were consistently dirty. While housekeeping did change the bed linens, they seemed to overlook the overall cleanliness of the room, especially the walls and door frames.
If the hotel were to address these housekeeping concerns, it could significantly enhance the guest experience. I hope to see improvements in this area on my next visit.
Loved our room #713 and the food was Good. Loved the happy hour food and drink too. Staff was very friendly. It was a great escape for my wife and I from our son’s surgery at Cleveland Clinic. Still close to be able to come and go! The shuttle was fantastic on the one rainy day too!!
Nice location conveniently located walking distance from Cleveland Clinic. Nice bar and restaurant with a surprisingly good breakfast buffet. Suites have microwave and refrigerator.
My first impression was that this hotel was quiet and calm. With the restaurant and bar a bit set off from the lobby it felt tranquil. We stayed the night before several tests were to be done at the Cleveland Clinic and appreciated the atmosphere. We ate dinner at the restaurant; I had the shrimp taco appetizer and it was excellent. My husband ordered the wings appetizer. I also had the breakfast buffet. I arrived about 10 minutes before breakfast hours ended. I was informed of that but chose it anyway. It was still well stocked and the hot foods were hot and the cold foods were cold. Service was very good in the restaurant both times. I thought the arrangement of the suite was good. The toilet and shower area were separate from the sink. It was was in a good sized area that opened to both the living area and the bedroom. The closet is in this area which I think serves as a dressing room. We used the coffee make for cups of coffee. There was regular and decaf. The hospital shuttle starts very very early and runs late into the night I would strongly recommend this hotel and we will stay there for our next trip to the Clinic.
I had a wonderful experience at the Intercontinental. I did an overnight stay because I had an early appointment at Cleveland Clinic. I had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant. Waitress was great and friendly and kept up with our drinks. Chef Derrick knows how to cook a meal. I gave my overall experience 4 stars because the rooms are in need of a remodel. Rooms should have walk-in showers and lazy boy chairs in the room for comfort. This should be an automatic since the hotel is on a hospital campus and most people stay at the hotel either have an appointment or procedure at Cleveland Clinic
