Clean venue for location to wedding venue at the castle

service for dinner was far to slow,as it was a bank holiday weekend there was a sign saying as we are busy for a quieter breakfast come before 9am.we went for breakfast at 8.15 and it was full.they should not have maid that sign which caused the problem,as everybody went for breakfast before 9am not breakfast served till 10am

Staff not attentive in the restaurant. The public spaces are not cleaned enough and dirty plates and bottles left for too long.
The hotel was so beautiful & the grounds, staff were wonderful

The spa was lovely and the treatment was brilliant. The buffet lunch supplied was good and the breakfast was amazing with full English breakfast options along with fresh fruit, tea coffee and juices. The Bed was very comfy and the air con was a bonus on such a hot weekend. Staff were really good throughout the hotel. It was a nice place for a weekend away.
I would say the bedding could have been a bit cleaner, a few stains on the duvet cover. Also the bathroom was good but the shower let it down. The shower itself just needs updating and it had a leaky shower hose. Also we had a good dinner in the vale grill but had to wait an hour for our main course. I can understand them being busy but when I asked about our mains, I wasn't meet by an apology but with a remark about being in a queue to wait for dinner. Also was a bit on the pricey side I thought.

The bar area food was appalling we were severed burnt food and when we complained it seem to upset the staff, and the replaced it with under cooked food seems like they didn’t like the fact we complained

The staff make this hotel they were excellent. We had a poor meal but the staff made up for it.
