Refrigerator in room didn’t work

Hotel seemed clean. Rooms were tired and in desperate need of remodeling. Not enouth pillows or towels for everyone in our group.

Pay attention to detail and breakfast cleanliness.

Room was very weathered, long red hair in sink, smell in room, broken picture on the wall. Waited for elevator for several minutes only 3 floors in hotel- there was something sticky on the floor, inside the elevator. Wouldn’t recommend

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I never make reviews but there were BLOOD STAINS all over the carpet, on the couch, dirt everywhere, and my view was a cemetery which is creepy in itself. When I got back at 11 or so the police were surrounding the hotel trying to find a man that was causing problems that wasn’t even staying at the hotel. Do not recommend don’t ever come here

Friendly staff and the room was decent. Bathroom tub caulk wasn’t maintained. Cleaning of the rooms isn’t conducted daily and when it is cleaned they didn’t replenish soaps, lotion, coffee, etc.

We stayed a maximum of 10 minutes after being issued our key. The lobby, dirty. The fridges in the lobby with snacks and drinks for sale, dirty. There were dead roaches on the bottom glass part of the snack fridge. Our room was near the pool. As we got closer to our room door, the mildew odor became unbearable. The carpet floor was soaked in some areas. Right before our door, my daughters started screaming, a roach scurried across the floor. When we let ourselves into the room, it didn’t smell any better. I set our bags on the bed and immediately seen a quarter sized brown stain. I marched back to the front desk and checked out, that was when I noticed the bugs in the lobby fridge. Concierge didn’t want to check us out. Asked that we chose a room on the higher floors instead. Hard pass. Roaches aren’t going to know not to go to the 2nd and 3rd floors, they’re probably there too. Told him about the stain and he tried to blame it on my family. Sir, we literally just got our key from you and now we’re back at your desk checking out. If you stay here, at least be sure not to eat anything.

Lobby carpet very dirty. Rooms were not cleaned to my expectations. Requested room change. Moved from first floor to third floor. Big rust spot in tub with no shower mat. Tub very slippery. Requested extra floor mat to put in tub to help prevent falls. Stains on both bed comforters. Looked like blood stains. Bed sheets smelled.

Pictures on the website are a far cry from reality.
Limited food bar, no fruit, only apple juice.
Waffles only, no toast, yogurt.
Carpets were dirty and smells.
Never going back!

Dirty

This place is a joke.
The breakfast bar was not what the website shows! Hallway carpets smell!
Breakfast was only 3 cereals and waffles and bagels every day. No OJ , no fruit, no yogurt.
It appears that this hotel rents to homeless.
Had to beg for room to be cleaned and new towels.
I have pictures of the real kitchen vs. what is on the website.
Overall, a low budget hotel, not what I expected from Wyndham which also owns LaQuinta. I stayed at a LaQuinta 2 weeks ago and found that location excellent.

Bed bugs in bed

Smelled moldy, room had several spiders and was dirty. Walls were so thin I could hear “EVERYTHING” from the rooms next to me, across from me and above me. No hot tub like advertised.

The rooms smelled like old clothes. The carpet was not vacuumed in the rooms. The bathrooms look updated very old worn outdoors, old carpet I would not stay at this establishment again

The Wingate was a fine hotel for me. The room was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was a bit limited, but there was hot food that was tasty. What I was most grateful for was that because we were there for two consecutive nights, we were placed on the top floor without families with small kids on either side of us. We had restful evenings both nights, even with the hotel full of young adults and small children.

Staff was cavalier at best. Did not go out of way to assist with anything. Pool looks dingy. Halls were hot and humid.

I didn’t like the fact that looking out my window was a cemetery

The young man at the front desk was absolutely the kind of person you want representing your company. Very kind and thoughtful. Should think about giving him his own unit to run

First couple days wasn’t to bad. The weekend was ok. When I came to weekdays. Serivice was almost non existent. We had a reoccurring problem with our door keys that needed to be reset two or three times a day. My extension cord was stolen on our last day. I believe it to be the hotel personnel picked it up. While I was away. But since I left a day early they didn’t want to refund my last day stay. Plus they hadn’t seen my cord. Over all it was a very poor experience. The hallways smelled like weed. The ac didn’t work in building, but was on in the rooms. The cleaning crew did a very good job in the rooms. They only have so much to work with.
