breakfast good.
all is ok
Breakfast area looked nice but we didn’t have any. Front desk staff was nice and and accommodating
Room smelled of mildew and was dirty. Mattress was disgustingly stained
Worst Hyatt experience I've ever had. Two towels in thr room for 4 people. When I requested two more so we could shower befire leaving they said they were put if towels. Trash cans were all overflowing. Room was dirty upon arrival and had visible water damage. Pool area also had zero towels and workout equipment looked like it had never been cleaned. Wouldn't stay here again if it was free.
dirty carpets, white lights in the room . everything else was fine. good location. different smell the corridor. enough parking
Room were very nice and the bed was comfortable to sleep on. We didn’t anticipate having a handicapped room. The bathroom was made for handicapped access and that made it hard for me to walk on the floor with it being wet from the water. We weren’t given clean towels wash clothes on a daily basis. The trash wasn’t emptied until we checked out on June 29th. The bathroom had no ventilation so when you took a shower the mirror fogged up.
We liked the location, close to everything, in a safe neighborhood. Breakfast was delicious, staff were great. Room size was great. Sauna was nice!
The hotel is very old and outdated. Beds were not comfortable. One of the showers never got hot (requested maintenance SEVERAL times throughout the week but no one ever came). The hot water in the other bathroom sink made such a horrendous noise, we could not use it. It defeated the point of reserving a room with two bathrooms.
The parking lot was full of pot holes and broken pavement, it was difficult to walk through. One of our rooms smelled like cigarette smoke.
The few positives I can say. It looks nice from the outside, the mattress was decent, and I didn’t see any bugs and checkout is at noon. Which is probably the best thing about this place.
However the inside is far from what I expected by the outside. Waited 10-15 minutes for someone to be at the front desk to check in. Elevators are super slow, and when walking into the room you get hit with a pretty weird smell. My guess would be the carpets need to be changed, and I think some rooms are renovated, I’m guessing mine wasn’t. Also those TVs are about 20 years old. No way to use any of your streaming apps, and they have these horrible cable boxes with very few channels. Being in Schaumburg the competition for hotels is pretty high. So to feel like I’m stepping in a room from the early 2000s seems crazy. If I’m staying around this area again, I would definitely be looking somewhere else.
its been a few years since my last stay here, but its consistent. the staff are generally friendly and helpful, the breakfast staff particularly so. we always found the breakfast area clean, tidy, and well-stocked. the room itself was spacious, well-furnished, and comfortable, with a good mattress. there are often a couple of issues somewhere in the common areas, its an old building after all, but nothing to complain about. they put a larger hold on your card when you check in, but the final bill was as advertised and matched my room reservation.
No towels after first set. No space.
Watch your credit card! I paid vio.com for the room, but Hyatt House used the credit card I gave them for incidentals to double-charge. I've called twice, they say they'll fix it, but no apology and no refund.
キッチンがあった。
寒い。エレベーターが遅い
It was nice staff was friendly really my 1 complaint was we asked for the room to be cleaned and were told they are set days for housecleaning. Ok that’s ok and all but if a customer requests it, it should get done & we asked for clean towels it took forever
size of room and layout was greats
This was a nice hotel... 20 years ago but it has got very tired and needs a makeover
Surprisingly not great. The hotel made promises, but didn’t follow through. They changed our keys partway through our trip without notifying us so I was standing at a lockdoor with nonworking keys with an infant. There was also no real dedication to cleanliness of carpeted floors were sticky. The walls didn’t have towel hooks or all an experience I would expect from many hotels, but not one of this quality.
I have stayed at properties all over the world, and this is by far one of the most neglected, unhygienic, and poorly managed hotels I have ever encountered. This place operates more like a dilapidated, failing motel than a reputable hotel brand.
Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Here is exactly what you can expect if you stay here:
Zero Housekeeping or Hygiene: I stayed here for six days, and my room was never cleaned once. Upon checking in, the toilet was completely filthy and covered in previous guest waste. The hallways smelled of stale urine and weed, and the carpets were covered in ground-in crumbs and trash.
A Disgusting Fitness Center: The public workout room was a complete biohazard. For days, nobody cleaned it. It was left littered with piles of dirty, sweat-soaked pool towels, discarded trash, and personal clothing strewn across the equipment and floor.
Broken Room Amenities: Practically everything in the suite was broken or falling apart. The stove burners were entirely unsafe and did not work, the in-room coffee maker was broken, and the bath gel dispenser pump in the shower was completely snapped off. The linens were heavily stained, and the furniture was dark, severely worn, and decayed.
Bare Market and No Water: The hotel regularly runs completely out of basic items. They had zero bottled water for days at a time, and the "Guest Market" refrigerators downstairs were stripped completely bare of food and refreshments.
Unsanitary Breakfast Area: The complimentary breakfast is a major health concern. The hotel is so severely short-staffed that the exact same employees who are failing to clean the rooms are tasked with handling and serving the food. The public breakfast service counters were constantly covered in uncleaned food spills and debris.
Hostile, Aggressive Management and Staff: When I escalated the lack of housekeeping to the General Manager, he gave me empty promises that a crew would come clean, but nobody ever showed up. He then dismissively defended the ancient, degraded furniture by telling me it looks fine on their website. To make matters worse, when I asked the housekeeping supervisor why the room had been ignored all week, she aggressively snapped at me, shouting that her staff "does not clean on weekends" and completely shirked responsibility.
The management team here relies on excuses about "new ownership" to justify charging full premium rates for an uninhabitable, hostile environment. This property is a health hazard and a disgrace. Save your money and sanity—stay somewhere else!
