It’s fine

Everything about this Turkish styled hotel was great. The staff and breakfast were great. The location was perfect, just a couple of minutes walk from the manic/amazing old town. The terrace was lovely and peaceful at night to relax and look at the blue mosque. Our room was great with a Turkish bath style bathroom. We'd highly recommend

Felt like visiting a Turkish grandma — warm, cozy, and full of charm

This hotel stole my heart! It felt less like a hotel and more like visiting a sweet Turkish grandmother. The atmosphere was cozy, warm, and welcoming.

The room was small, yes — but it had everything I needed, and I truly enjoyed staying there. There’s a lovely rooftop with a great breakfast and a beautiful view to start the day.

Out of the five hotels I stayed at in Istanbul, this one was by far my favorite. Not the fanciest, but definitely the most charming.

We received a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful corner suite with views looking out to the Sea of Marmara. Bountiful breakfast each morning on the rooftop terrace with seagulls soaring above. Friendly and hospitable hosts. Walking distance to Sultanhamet Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace and Sultanhamet Square T1 Tram Stop. Truly an authentic and exceptional hotel.

In a beautiful old Turkish house, this hotel provides comfortable and well appointed rooms in an old-fashioned style fitting the building period the staff could not have been more helpful period. Lovely rooftop, indoor/outdoor restaurant.

Nice hotel in great location. Walk to mosque, Hagia Sophia, shop, and everything. Free delicious breakfast. All staffs were exceptional nice and friendly.

Quaint property in old Sultanahammet, clean, beautiful rooftop view for breakfast, staff are friendly and kind.

We enjoyed the breakfast and the excellent customer service. On our last day, we had to leave at 6am so we could not get breakfast. Instead, we were given a to go box of food to take with us. That is very thoughtful and we really appreciated it.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like honored guests rather than just visitors. Their kindness and attention to detail went above and beyond, creating a welcoming atmosphere that stayed with us throughout our stay.

The location is fantastic—easy to commute and perfectly placed to explore the city’s rich culture. But what truly sets this hotel apart is its soul. Every corner is thoughtfully decorated to reflect the essence of Istanbul, immersing you in its beauty and charm. It doesn’t feel like a generic tourist hotel—it feels like you’re living a piece of the city’s story.

Breakfast was a daily highlight: fresh, flavorful, and served with genuine hospitality. The team consistently added thoughtful touches that made us feel special.

If you’re looking for a place that captures the spirit of Istanbul and makes you feel at home, this hotel is an experience you won’t want to miss.

Located within walking distance to The Blue Mosque, as well as plenty of shopping. The staff was great. There is a beautiful rooftop bar that we didn't want to leave. They also hold their breakfast buffet up there. This was our first trip to Istanbul, but I wouldn't hesitate to return to The Dersaadet

Customer service goes beyond. Staff are incredibly nice and very helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was my favorite and the best on our stay in Turkey.

Customer service was excellent. Staff was very welcoming. We appreciate the welcome tea and Turkish delights and a small gift. We truly appreciated all the lovely gestures.We were happy for the free room upgrade, too.

It was a cozy and peaceful place, very close to the market and mosques. The staff were extremely polite and kind.

This property is centrally located and is walkable to any of the sites as well as the tram. The staff made our stay comfortable. The breakfast was traditional and included many choices, the server/hostess at breakfast was very accommodating and friendly. We used the terrace in the evening for drinks and the tasting menu which was delicious and the waiter was very accommodating. I would recommend this property and would definitely stay here again

Very lovely place to stay in a great area in downtown Istanbul! The area is a lot quieter than other pockets of Istanbul, which we enjoyed. The breakfast was great and the view on the rooftop was beautiful. The staff was also so kind. We had an amazing stay and would love to come back the next time we’re in Istanbul!

We spent weeks researching our Turkey hotels and this was no let-down. Fabulous location for the multi-sights of Sultanahmet Square, also the airport shuttle, handy T2 light rail line, nice Arasta Bazaar street, and many restaurants. It’s not a new-style hotel but has old charm. The roof-top view is another plus.

It was great and very accommodating. Would 10/10 recommend
