It was a great experience and enjoyed the history of the property highlighted with old pictures.
Pros:

The facilities were very well-maintained. Cleanliness was exceptional. It was super close to the Cabaret Theater. Parking was very convenient. The breakfast was very tasty and affordable.

Cons:

The elevator was slow and a bit “clunky”.

Historic hotel in the heart of Ashland
Pros:

Historic building is charming. There is also a good restaurant in the same building as the hotel.

Cons:

Breakfast was better than the typical business hotel buffet, but not as good as ordering ala carte. It was a good value, though.

A good relationship gone bad
Pros:

i booked this hotel ( for three rooms and for the third year in a row ) on Jan 21, 2025. there was an erroneous charge for $230.97 ( our deposits were over $300 so not even a close match ) on January 21 for a deposit which wasn't for our rooms. i called and no one knew what it was and didn't/wouldn't check with accounting or the reservation system. i called several more times and also emailed the manager who the staff said would fix it. no response.

we arrived in September 2025 and i tried in person to get an explanation for the charge. no response and the manager didn't respond as the staff said he would. i disputed the credit card charge and the hotel said it was valid. i called again. no response.

beware of this place. it is convenient for being central but could use a face lift in the rooms and a decent bfast ( which now is an $ add-on).

Traditional downtown hotel, sweet rooms, lovely lobby, walk to everything
Pros:

This is a lovely, traditional hotel on Main St, just a few blocks from the Shakespeare Theater complex, walking distance to everything. The lobby is enormous and beautiful, lots of comfy sofas and a fireplace. The queen room was "cozy", but pretty romantic and sweet. We were on the top floor, so there was a great view of Ashland and the mountains. Private off-street parking behing the building was very convenient, as was the yummy buffet breakfast in one of their banquet rooms. (Only $5/pp).

Nothing, it was great!

Charming and comfortable!
Pros:

You are immersed in the beauty and charm as soon as you step in! The rooms were comfortable and equally as charming.

Cons:

I wasn’t there long enough! For travelers passing through perhaps access to coffee and water would be a nice touch.

Lovely Stay In Ashland
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay! The room was beautiful and super clean. The history of the building was very interesting, which they provide a nice little brochure about it at check in. This beautiful hotel is very affordable in the off season.

Great Stay!

Pros: room quiet, spacious, excellent furniture, linens and toiletries; incredibly good breakfast buffet that is a bargain for $5; great help offered suggesting great nearby dinner spot; easy parking; friendly service oriented front desk;
Con: Bill creeped up w add on for service/recreation fee.

Location forshopping and great food. The room had character and was very clean. Lobby was inviting upon entry and staff was welcoming
