Auberge Vancouver Hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights. I had booked for 2 nights with agoda but my boyfriend last minute decided to book a 3rd night. We couldn't find a room with agoda so he booked igotel. When we went to book in the booking was there was for our 2 nights with agoda but we were informed that igotel cancelled our booking for the 3 night. We were never informed of this and had paid for it. Disaster this was during the world cup so we knew finding a hotel last minute would be impossible. The receptionist told us they had a room but it was $500 for the night. Shortly after she rang our hotel room and said given the circumstances if we could not get the booking rectified by our hotel operator she would give it to us for $340. After two days of back and forth with igotel they eventually rebooked our room and all was sorted. However I will not forget the extremely generous offer of giving us a room at such a reduced rate. The kindness of the staff was just unbelievable and made what could have been a very stressful time much easier to navigate. The room was also beautiful so spacious and clean. It's in an extremely central location but so quite with no street noise. Would highly recommend this hotel

Die Lage ist sehr gut, nur wenige Minuten und man ist am Anlagesteg der Wasserflugzeuge. Wir hatten ein sehr grosses Zimmer (Executive suite) , mit wunderbarem Blick. Alles sehr sauber!

Wonderful and friendly hotel. Very close to our cruise ship. Added bonus they provided complimentary assistance taking our bags down to the ship. Thank you Sanjay. Also a great British pub in the back or the hotel.

Layout of room was very nice

Lovely hotel on West Hastings Street,underground parking, get parking ticket first from guys on reception.
Lovely staff,so very helpful.
Clean kargevroom.also gave access to a wonderful pool on 4th floor with gym.
Smashing hotel bear Cabada Place,Ribsin Street and Gas Town also a really decent pub The Lion ,great food and service. 5 star all round

Overall a pleasant stay at the hotel since the location is great, very close to cruise terminal and also to public transit. I believe the building is quite old itself and despite the recent renovations, it still looks a bit dated. We booked the Harbour view suite after seeing the wonderful photos on the hotel website and expected the suite will look like what is shown on the photos. However, the suite we were assigned had a totally different layout. We can still see the harbour partially but not as grand looking as what is shown on their website. When inquired about it, staff said the harbour suites have different layouts and we actually got the better one. However, I honestly doubted that as if this was the case, why was our suite not shown anywhere on their website? Shouldn't the hotel not display their best looking layout on the website? Litttle bit disappointed as a result but basically nothing can be done unless we insisted to change but hotel is full so didn't bother. There are 2 elevators but one of them was out of service so during our 3 nights stay, sometimes the wait time for the elevators can be long. Service is fine but housekeeping can improve as we specified 3 people when booking the suite but all the amenities were for 2 people so we have to keep asking for extra towels, cups etc.. Would we stay here again? There are many hotels to choose from especially for this price range but location wise, it's definately a positive.
