Nice independent hotel in a great central location
Pros:

This is a nice hotel in a quiet square very near to the main University buildings. My room was clean and comfortable, with a view of the city to the west (I think). It was, as clearly described on the website, very 'cosy', perfectly comfortable for a single guest but I think it might have felt crowded if there had been two of us. I stayed in the middle of an oppressive heatwave but the room remained a comfortable temperature thanks to smallish windows and a decent fan. There was also a separate DAB radio, which is a really nice touch. Service was friendly. Breakfast was good, and also good value compared with other prices in the neighbourhood. Although the room was small, the bed itself was a decent size (I'm 6'2") and very comfortable.

Cons:

My room was very small, perfect for a single person but could have been more difficult for a couple. In fairness, the hotel website is absolutely clear about this.

Na sowas.....!9
Pros:

Gute Lage zu Fuss war vieles erreichbar

Cons:

Friendly helpful staff, excellent location, clean, safe and quiet.
Pros:

Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice and quiet on the top floor, with a very comfortable bed. Excellent location, close to the Museum and convenient for a lot of town. Car park is first come first served. I had to park on the square for my first night, but this was free overnight, and as guests left in the morning I got my car into the car park which was very secure, and reasonably priced for central Bristol. No air conditioning in room, but there was in the hallways. Recently decorated room with lots of nice little touches.

Cons:

Cosy room is, well, very cosy, i.e. small and hot (but I was staying during the heat wave).

Lovely hotel and friendly staff

Cons:

Pros:

Very friendly and welcoming. Easy check-in and nice layout in the bedroom. Fairly clean room, but it needed an extra clean in certain areas e.g. window frames, walls.

Cons:

I know the hotel can't have air conditioning because it's a listed building, but one fan in a large room is not adequate, especially with the hotter days. I was unable to have a good nights sleep. The breakfast was pretty standard but needs the cooked food to be hotter.

Safe, quiet, clean. Friendly welcoming staff. Good parking.will return!
Pros:

Quiet and Clean rooms, airconditioned halls, fans allocated in each room during unexpected heatwave. Staff are friendly and welcoming! Thanks for making my stay so welcoming, Noah, Miguel and all I met during my stay <3 - enjoying support of independent hotel. Safe parking allocated at reasonable pricing. Location is great for nearby restaurants and park, canal walks, easy walking distances to city centre. Will return again

Cons:

Extra large beds great size, perhaps could improve with mattress topper to manage the middle sag. Perhaps future improvements include air conditioners as Britain may experience hotter climes. In all, delighted with stay.

Delightful hotel, definitely go back
Pros:

As a lone traveller it felt very safe. Very near to the venue I was going to. Beautifully clean, and in excellent condition. I had a ‘cosy’ room but it was a lovely size, but the bed was against the wall which may have been an issue for two people.

Voldoet wat je verwacht van een verblijf in London.
Pros:

Not awful, just not the 4 star luxury experience it claims to be and charges for.
Pros:

Staff were helpful.

Cons:

It claims to be a 4 star hotel, but it isn't. Just not guest oriented, breakfast finished at 9.30 am, checkout at 11 - and charged extra to stay til 12. No aircon in rooms. Bar was unavailable due to a private function. All fine in a £60 2 star hotel, but not 4 star level.

Pros:

Location, comfy and clean room

Cons:

On arrival the reception staff did not know where their car park was located.
No hair dryer
No iron.
Room was hot and stuffy, the fan didn't work properly and was very wobbly on its stand.
The cooked breakfast was cold, when we spoke to the staff, was told that it was the temperature that the ban mari always kept the food at, then within a few minutes the ban mari was emptied and more food was returned and a lights underneath were relight.
