The fact that I could book a small single room that was just as stylish as a luxury double at a good price for a work trip. The special touches like the complimentary sherry, the ground coffee and miniature cafetière, the quality of the breakfast and the lovely friendly, helpful staff.

Lovely independent hotel - room had characterful touches like Roberts radio and fresh coffee and a good bathroom with Elemis products. Way nicer than a corporate chain. Stylish lounge downstairs and friendly staff.
Good location, clean comfortable room had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. They granted my wish for a walk in shower rather than a bath.
Couple of minor issues - the 2 apples and 1 kiwi in the 'fruit bowl' had seen better days. I would say if you are going to offer fruit, to at least offer it fairly fresh. The shower wasn't the best as it didn't flow very well seemed to be quite clogged up. Also we we had quite high expectations of the Square restaurant, however our experience of the evening meal was mediocre, yet very expensive for what it was. Sad to say, would probably not rush back here.

Quirky style very friendly and helpful staff. Room comfortable and clean. Fair price.
No air conditioning in the room only in the corridor. Fan provided but not much help even in the warm October temperatures. In the heatwave it must have been unbearable. Breakfast only ok.
Great location, warm welcome from staff on desk. Comfortable quiet room with good bathroom. Milk in the fridge and fresh fruit in the room.
