Grand Hotel President

We got home on Monday 25th May having stayed a week at hotel Grand President its my second time staying at this hotel but my 10th holiday to Sorrento, myself and my husband came on holiday with my brother and sister in law I wanted my brother and sister in law to feel how i feel about Italy and Sorrento, and we had the best holiday we cannot praise every single member of staff at Grand President enough, from the hard working cleaning team to reception staff to bar staff to waiters, especially Guiseppe on reception, Antonio and Louigi the waiters and Antoneno the barman they made our holiday amazing with continuous laughter and so polite and Giuseppe was amazing with all our questions, we are already looking to book for next year! I think this hotel should be 5 star as the service every member of staff provides is second to none! Well done to you all! I am sure you cant wait to see Mr King (and me his sister ) and our partners again in the further. Thank you all for making our holiday so special.

I have nothing but praise for this hotel. So well looked after from check in to check out.
Complimentary shuttle bus runs to and from the town every hours. Can be walked but it’s quite the stomp especially coming up the way.
Buffet breakfast was top quality and plentiful. Early breakfast starts at 6am, waiter service with outside dining from 7am. If you’re an omelette fan, this station opens at 8am.
Rooms are well equipped and spacious. We had room 334 which has incredible sunset views from the balcony.
Don’t make the mistake we did of spending €35 in a taxi for a 10min drive. The hotel shuttle bus picks you up 3mins walk from the train/bus station at 50mins past the hour.

Odlican hotel na odlicnom mjestu u prelijepom gradicu. Smjesteni smo bili u vili u sklopu hotela koja je sjajna, sa savrsenim pogledom, sadrzajem i kompletnim osobljem. Zao mi je samo sto nismo mogli ostati duze.

We stayed here for 10 days for bed and breakfast in a sea-view room, and overall we had a fantastic experience.

Breakfast each morning had plenty of choice and the quality of the food was very good. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The only small thing we noticed was that the breakfast selection stayed mostly the same throughout our stay, although there was still enough variety to enjoy each day.

The shuttle bus service into Sorrento was excellent and incredibly convenient. It picked up directly from the hotel every hour and dropped us very close to the town centre. It was usually on time, and throughout our stay we always managed to get seats both ways. We had heard that during peak season the buses can fill up quickly, but even while it was fairly busy, we didn’t experience any issues.

The sea-view room is definitely worth booking. The balcony was a lovely place to relax in the evenings and the views were beautiful. The room also included a small mini fridge with water provided, along with a hairdryer. The only thing missing for us was an iron, which would have been useful.

One thing we really appreciated was how many relaxing seating areas there were around the hotel, both during the day and in the evening. The garden area near the pool was especially nice and had amazing views.

The pool area itself was also great — plenty of sun loungers available and it never felt overcrowded or stressful trying to find a spot. The addition of small tables beside the loungers was a really nice touch, and having a bar close to the pool made it even better for relaxing during the day.

Every member of staff we encountered; reception, housekeeping, restaurant staff, bar staff, and the bus drivers, were all genuinely excellent and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

One thing worth mentioning is the tourist tax charged at the end of the stay. It’s €4 per person, per night (up to a maximum of 7 nights). It’s not an unreasonable amount and is fairly standard for the area - It was actually slightly cheaper than some places we came across - but it could catch you by surprise if you haven’t noticed it in the small print beforehand.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return again. We’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento.

Nice rooms and en-suite with balcony and sensational views. Nice lounge bar for drinks. Good lunch menu and venue next to the pool. The breakfast was good but could be better ie. not much fresh fruit ( mostly tinned ) and the juices were not fresh either. The restaurant food was good but worked out expensive with €5 cover charge and €5 for water.
