I don’t like anything about the hotel
Bad service , hotel staff were rude and none helpful ,no air conditioning , moved to a smaller room . It is bad quality for that price
Kettle not working and still didnt bring replacement.
Couldnt get a coffee or drink till after 3pm
Used on numerous occasions
5he bar prices were reasonable.
The hotel is shabby looking inside and smells of dust. The lift to the upper floors was in urgent need of having a new carpet as it was stained with god knows what and smelt awful. The room itself was clean with comfortable beds but with dated furniture. There is no air conditioning in any of the rooms, and at midnight, it was still 28 degrees in our room. They provided two small fans, which only pushed the hot air around .
Breakfast was appalling with fried eggs that looked and tasted like rubber, sausages so over cooked that you had trouble cutting them. We were booked in for three night's,but left after two as we couldn't stand the place any more. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
Staff, location
Extremely uncomfortable mattress.
Room too hot.
No expel air or window in the bathroom.
Food passable.
staff was great , building and location has potential but needs a lot of attention, pub looked nice and the furniture there ! was quiet , was some good points
the walls on the stairs was all dirty no paint for many years , no fridge in the room no ac in the room at 35+ we could not rest at all , all furniture si old , small tv, leaking faucet super hot inside like an oven , h
The best part of this hotel was definitely its location. It is within walking distance of the beach, and it is also very easy to reach other attractions and the town centre by bus or on foot. The staff were genuinely friendly, polite, and always willing to help, which I really appreciated.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean throughout my stay.
However, I was disappointed by a few important issues. When I booked through Booking.com, the listing clearly indicated that **breakfast was included**. On the first morning, I was told that it was not included and that I should have selected it during the final booking step. This was very frustrating. I'm not sure whether this was an issue with Booking.com or with the hotel's listing, but the information presented during booking was misleading.
I also decided to pay for breakfast, but it was very expensive considering the quality and variety of the food. Unfortunately, it was not worth the price.
Another major downside was the lack of basic amenities. The room did not have a refrigerator, and there wasn't even an ice machine or ice available for guests during the hot summer weather. Having access to ice is a basic convenience that many travelers expect.
The room also didn't have air conditioning, only a standard fan, which made it less comfortable in warm weather.
Overall, my experience was average to below average. While the price is relatively low, I still expected the hotel to provide the basic facilities that were advertised or that are generally expected. Unfortunately, it did not meet those expectations.
All went well and good breakfast choices in relaxed air cooled dining room. Temperature in UK were over 30c that weekend.
Would have liked a small fridge in room.
Nothing
Room too small without window very hot !!!
I like the spacious twin room with good space to walk and sit and good size bathroom, and staff was also good
In the morning when I decided to have breakfast i reached downstairs at 9.30 but restaurant was already closed and I cannot have my breakfast so I think it would have been much better if they serve breakfast till 10.00
Very comfortable, good location
Big size, clean
Nothing
No air con, cleanliness was appalling, large room but nothing in it very hot poorly decorated stains on the walls
Booked this hotel as we had a late sailing into Poole. After I had paid I read the reviews 🤦♀️and panicked. How wrong was I. Yes the hotel is dated and certain comments are justifiable… however, the bedding and towels were clean and fresh; the room was spacious; and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Spoke to people who were on a coach trip from Middlesbrough, who were having a good 4 night break at the hotel.
For what I paid I was very pleased. It was an extra £10 for the dog … which is cheap by today’s standards.
A positive experience x
